Oh the agonizing wait!!!........Too bad she does not live here in Georgia....... no waiting period, no blood tests to get marriage license!! Patience, Patience.

My checked was cashed on June 1 but I do not see a case number on the back. I know it should have three letters, WAC, and 13 numbers but I do not think a case number was stamped on the back. I see banking numbers but that is it. Any other ways to obtain a case number other than waiting for the NOA1?

Has your check been cashed yet? If it has, you can get the case number from the back of it and check your case status online.

Not completely sure but I think Texas is now forwarding to CSC too, but don't quote me on that... but if this is the case then it would expalin the delay in receiving your NOA1. The same thing happened to me, I filed in Nebraska and then was forwarded to CSC. Keep us posted!

Both Texas and Nebraska forward to California so that could be the reason in the delay of the NOA1.

Annette is right!

I check my Bank of America Account and looked back of the check to find my WAC number, then added it to my USCIS accounts portfolio to get the date it reached CSC from NSC and date on NOA1.

Okay, 45 days was up yesterday from when the said they mailed the NOA1 (I-797) and I didn't get it in the mail. I called USCIS today and after talking to a customer service rep, they transferred me over to a different department who verified my address is correct (phew!) and stated that the NOA1 hasn't been generated yet. She said she would email whomever to "remind" them to generate it.

I asked if this is common lately and she yes it is.

So, all of you that are (im)patiently waiting like me for the paper NOA1, there's hope. You have to wait 45 days from when they said the mailed it. Once that elapses, you can call and they should be able to do the same for you. This is for the Cali service center, which is 3/4 of us! You lucky Vermont bastards! -kidding- ;)

I think the VSC is still busy processing the H1B receipt backlog. Fiance(e) applications are lower priority then other petitions, so when they are busy catching up with other things, that means less people working on fiance(e) visas.

Based on VisaJourney's estimate, nothing will happen in June for my petition, so I'm just lying low and trying to not think about it.

That's how i'm trying to see it too...VSC is taking quite a while compared to some i've seen.

i think the reason i'm slightly annoyed is that i am also going to see my love in August.

i put my passport application for this in the beginning of APRIL. and still don't have it. as passport service is backlogged due to american travel this summer. that would be okay too except that i i'm not coming up on the status-check online at all either.

so now i'm waiting for a passport to see him, and his parents are having an engagement party for us and all so i want to make it over so badly..

AND waiting on the NOA2 at the same time.

booo :)
