Finally did my oath ceremony in Atlanta on the 02/15/2019, it was a very wonderful occasion with 150 people from 60 countries. We were immediately registered to vote and our naturalization certificates were photocopied to be sent to the DOS for our voter cards. I have a trip coming up on the 02/21/2019 so I scheduled an appointment for same day passport at the Atlanta Passport Agency in Mid-town Atlanta. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00 am, I got there at 7:00 am, there was a long queue of about 20 people. The process was pretty simple, I filled the form DS-11, took with me one recent passport picture, together with my itinerary and naturalization certificate. I was told to come back in 4 hours for my same day passport. The fee is $205 for expedited service. I got my passport at 12:30 pm on the same day. Thanks to everyone for the help and experiences. My naturalization journey is finally over.

Just came back from my n400 interview today at the Atlanta field office and i am proud to announce that I passed.

Interview was 9:10am was called in a few minutes after that. The waiting room was pretty empty with only 5 people waiting.

The IO, was very young, friendly and welcoming. She asked me to give her my ticket, put my things down, remain standing. Next she told me raise my right hand and recited the , "do you swear to tell the truth....." pledge and i responded with, I do. I was starring intently into her eyes when she was reciting it and i think she may have gotten shy cos she looked away several times and it was like she wanted to laugh....that random cue really calmed my nervousness. She proceeded to collect my green card, drivers license, passport and interview letter.

Like everyone's mentioned there was a huge stack of my immigration file on her desk. She told me to take a seat and took my fingerprints (index finger for both hands) and my picture.

Then she said she would start with reading, writing, history and go over my n400 doc.

Reading (the text appeared on the tablet in front of me):
Who elects congress?

Writing (on the tablet that was glitchy but she apologized):

I wrote, the people elects congress.

Questions:
1. Name one US territory?
2. Who was the president during the great depression and WWII?

3. Who did America fight during WWII?
4. What happened on September 11 2001?
5. Who vetoes bills?
6. Who makes federal laws?

The she said, congrats you've passed you can now rest easy the only part left is question about you, you cant fail that. Then we both laughed.
She asked for my full name

Then she asked if i traveled after filing the n400, i said yes...then she said is it the 15th of dec - 1st. She quickly added that the system just updated with the date and i don't have to show her my i-94 travel history. We moved on to the Yes/No questions pretty quickly. Everything except if i ever failed to file taxes and if i was a member of a group was a No. For the taxes question, i didn't file for the 2013 tax year and she said she read my explanation and asked if that was the only year, i said yes. Then she moved on to the groups, i added my church and she confirmed it and moved on.

My info popped up on the tablet for me to review and sign and that was pretty much it. She printed the paper that said i passed and congrats, then took copies of my passport/id/green card.

And that was pretty much it. The entire process took about 10 mins

I didn't have to show any evidence or recall any dates or explain anything. I thought would be grilled for not filing taxes for the 2013 tax year or asked about my marriage (we had somewhat of a stokes interview in 2013 cos they separated us).

My account hasn't been updated but my case status shows that my oath ceremony notice has been mailed.

Thank you to everyone here. It has been a long but amazing journey, sharing our stories and learning from each other. I am truly grateful and thankful.

ps: not sure if it was because it was a Saturday morning but one of the IO was wearing pyjama pants and during my interview, the door was open so i could hear some of the IO's talking about dating while young vs dating older...a tad bit distracting. The entire office just seemed soooo relaxed weirdly enough...i felt over dressed lol.

Thank you. I know its easier said than done, but try not to be too nervous. Days beforehand I came up with so many scenarios against me, I was freaking out. What if this, what if that...meanwhile the actual event was pretty chill and straightforward. Just prepare as best you can, and I'm sure you'll do fine. I pray for you to have a nice IO as I did, and finish positively, within a few minutes too.

Guys, I'm super bummed. My interview was scheduled for tomorrow February 27th. I had almost everything ready and this morning I got an email saying the interview has been cancelled for "unforeseeable circumstances". Has this happened to anybody else? I thought I was going to be done tomorrow 😭

I meant to type February 26th.

I called the 1-800 number and the agent said there's no record of my interview being cancelled. She said she had to escalate it with one of her supervisors but that everybody was busy so I'd probably get a call back She transferred my call ad sure enough, it said they'd call me back in 161 minutes. That was at 2:40 CST, 3:40 EST and they close at 5pm EST. I guess I'm not going to hear from them today.

Hi there! Yes, that's the number I called and they did call me back. My interview was indeed cancelled so I keep on waiting. I'm sad and frustrated. Both my husband and I took off from work and we didn't even get the cancellation notice with enough time to make it to work tomorrow. Ugh

I guess it is about time for me to call... I seem to be one of the few left who haven't gotten an interview letter or anything like that (though my fingerprints were one of the last ones for the March fillers).

Currently the website shows:

Estimated wait time:

We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time

So that is a bummer...
