@Penny&Lee Yay congratulations! You'll be here in no time!

Btw so used to reading American dates at this point that I get confused going back to the European way of writing it :D Even though I still think that is the correct way, of course ;)

Thank you!!!! 💛

lmao! Yeah! Tbh I don’t like the American way of typing dates 🙄

Hello everyone,

I'm a May NOA2 to NVC and My case has been at the NVC for 23 days now.  Curious to see if anyone else had to to wait this long (or perhaps longer) for the case to go In transit.  Last I heard, they said the case was under administrative processing.  Thoughts anyone?

Hi! I can see that you already have your case number, which is great. I may be wrong but I believe the last NVC part (where they send the case out) is a bit country specific, so I would recommend you check with people who're going through the same embassy or consulate as you are. Just because the NVC is done and ready to send your case out, doesn't mean the embassy/consulate is ready to receive it.

If however you find others going through Ecuador with quick Case # assigned to In transit timelines, then that may be reason to start investigating what is going on.

Thank you.  I have checked into this, and well there aren't many from the same embassy.  The latest one only waited at NVC for a week.  I'll just have to continue being patient.

Approved today!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!    Wow.  We are so happy for you.  We filed on 11 September and were even jubilating when we saw your update.  God is good.

We are still waiting for packet 3 and our interview date in Accra.  Do you suggest scheduling the interview on your own?

Aww thank you!  Yes, so thankful that the interview went smoothly.  We took a risk by scheduling on our own - it worked out for us but another couple got turned away, even after allowing a similar amount of time to pass between NOA2 and the interview (a little over 3 months).  However, since they did schedule, the embassy told them they would see about expediting the case for them, so things may end up moving quickly for them anyway.

The embassy wants you to wait, but the process has been very inconsistent.  We decided that it was worth the risk to just go and schedule, because you may see that some couples are having a hard time finding appointment availability.  If you do your DS160 and pay the fee, then at least you can go online and start looking at dates.  Then when you schedule, you can get the medical done, etc.  In my opinion, the only thing you stand to lose is the visa fee ($265) which they may make you pay again.  So I stand by our choice to schedule and just hope to get the packet 3 in time.  I hope that helps!

Yes, very helpful.  Thank you for your reply.

The waiting is so difficult, so we're seriously considering it.

May God bless you and Kofi.

This morning, we were APPROVED!!  Such a long long journey, and we're almost together forever.  Finally.

They said we can expect her passport back in 2 weeks, then I will return to help bring her home.
