The letter finally came today, and they are reusing the old biometrics ^_^ Curiously, it is not updated online though, still showing only that it has been received.... :huh:

My turn has come!  I received a notification at 5.30pm CST yesterday that my card is in production and approved. It was such a relief to see the notification come in. I received a text first, then an

Today we received the letter notifying us that they can reuse the previous biometrics. My favorite part is, "It is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded." LOL

I just signed up for USPS informed delivery yesterday.  Today being my first official day using the program, it shows we are getting our letter in today!  I'm hoping they are using our old fingerprints.  Following what @mjiang said, we have been out of the country since getting the green card and were scanned at POE each time.  Hopefully that means we won't have to go in.  Of course it comes when working a double shift today.  I'll find out ASAP so we can give @starsky some more work with the table ;)

 

Edit: Going home at 6 on my break to find out the news, another 3.5 hours to go!

Edit 2: This is the busiest this place has been on a Saturday since the end of February!

Yey! I've received my biometrics as well! Or should I say my non-appearance for biometrics appointment as they will be using my old prints as well. At this point, like most CSC filers, I don't mind that we are practically giving out extra money to  the USCIS . I just want to get this over and done with! Plus not to mention, immigration always has a hard time getting my prints. The last time it took me about 15 minutes... on one hand alone! 😂😂😂..

Just in case @starsky would want to include me in your table, I filed my I-797 Feb. 6, they received it Feb 08, and I received my NOA dated Feb.09, received it Feb. 12.

And with that, what a difference a day in a life of a USCIS filer makes.... BOOM! Nice homer guys, blasted it out of the park. I too received a notice in the mail today stating they will reuse biometrics. I've updated the tracking table with all of you guys. :)

I actually think that is a pretty good theory. To test it, perhaps we could ask a few of those who do have scheduled biometrics appointments if they have been out of the US since they entered on their original visa? 

 

Quite literally in the space of a day, over 50% of California filers now have some sort of activity on their cases. I'm sure that number will be higher once more people check in after receiving their notices in the mail. The backlog seems to have been cleared in one swoop.
