Today i got interview notice in the mail...*finally!* aflter 105 days waiting

Just to let you know, you won't receive an actual approval notice in the mail. After doing some research I learned that the green card (and the mailer that came with it) is the approval notice.

I think you are incorrect. I received an I-797 NOA in the mail which stated that my AOS was approved. However, I did not receive the green card with it. The notice said that it should arrive within 3 weeks.

I think you are talking about the Welcome letter (??) Usually people receive a welcome letter, and the actual green card (plus mailer). Just the other day someone asked about the "approval notice" here on the messageboard, and from what others answered I learned that there is no actual approval letter...Take a look here:

To use DR_LHA's words "An Approval Notice was Sent" is USCIS code for "We have mailed your Green Card."

Hi, I got the interview at new york office yesterday, you may find my interview experience from the link:

Since the security check still in process, I didn't get any status change for my I-485 case, but I do get the 'case approved' for my I-130.

Does anyone have a similiar situation like this? What I can do next? thanks.

Don't worry. From what you wrote it sounds like the AO would have approved you if your name check had been cleared. Now all you can do is sit back and wait for the name check to clear. Hope you won't have to wait too long :)

Hi everyone, I am happy to report that I received my Permanent Resident Card in the mail today. :):):):)

This website has provided my husband and I (still getting used to saying that :lol: ) with loads of great useful information as well as support. Its nice to know that you are not the only one going through this 'legal' immigration process.

I have been seeing al ot of approvals and interview notices on here this month. Congratulations to everyone.

I really do hope that others who are waiting have a speedy and successful process. :thumbs:

And I'll end, now before it starts sounding like a speech!! :lol:
