Hi @Laura, was your most recent jointly filed tax requested for at the interview?

Nope. The IO only asked for our IDs, my passport, i-693 and other evidence that we wished to submit.

Missing proper naija suya. Admin removed our comments eventually.:mellow:. It was fun though.

The questions asked were as follow:

1. all the questions on Form i-485

2. He asked that we tell him our love story and asked who will do the honors of relaying the story, my husband did and i chipped in some information that he left out.

3. He asked if I had any supporting documents and i handed him the supporting document listed above.

4. He asked my husband where he worked.

That was all

Timeline

I had my interview on gthe 24th of April,2018 at the Baltimore field office. Got there 30mins before my interview which was for 12:45; of course I was there with my wife who is a USC but she is Nigerian too we are both Kalabari"s  from Rivers State in Nigeria I maust add that we were beaming with confidence but we had to wait for about 2 hours before we were called in our IO was really apologetic and she said we should swear and I told her I don't swear I only Affirm so she asked me to affirm, which we did. We went through with the questions on  I-130  (theses question were more to my wife, but she asked me some too) then we went into the I-485 which I answered . until she got to my children and I told her I have children but have never been married. Then she asked if i stated in my B2 visa application that I had these children I told I couldn't recall that question been asked because i filed alone and I stated that I wasn't married too. But I told that at the interview for the B2 interview I was asked if I had Children and I told them I had a child (I have three daughters, but I claimed one then because she was the only child I was sure of  at that time , as I had serious issues as it relates to paternity with the other women) afterwards she asked for further documents of proof of marriage. and we gave the following documents

a. A letter from the University were my wife is doing her Doctorate / works there as a Graduate Residence Coordinator( she get free housing from the school with this job)

b. Receipt of Membership from our gym

c. Car documents in which I appear as a co-purchaser because I don't have insurance and drivers licence

d. Joint Statement of Account

e. More pictures of our wedding, courting etc.

there are no insurance together , then she asked what I did for my wife on her birthday and I told her I don't celebrate birthdays. But on that day I cooked a sumptuous native soup for her which she enjoys .

she asked how did we celebrate Christmas I told her we went to my wife's cousin's house in Virginia but I told her I also don't celebrate Christmas.

After 2hours of being in there she gave us the 120 days letter that she'll send our case  for review  and may I add that all the while she taking copious notes with a red pen. .... ah! I then told her I haven't received my EAD she seemed shocked and said that shouldn't be , but I interjected by saying "of course if I get approved I won't need the EAD " She smiled and said I should just wait until the review and that I should do anything until after the 120 days.

feel free to ask questions ..........
