Im a US citizen.... my boyfriend/ fiancé is a Sweden citizen...  I'm so confused on the process and need help with some questions and see what our options are...

Some background: We both train and compete in a dog sport, we started talking on Facebook... we started talking on a dog trainin group and our relationship grew from there... he is able to move over here around June (or later if need be, but we don't want to wait if we don't have too)

We want to get married and I'm not sure what options we could do...

1) a- he comes over to me in February, we marry, he goes back to sweden and we apply for a CR1 visa.... or b- he comes over here in June after a few months of being here we get married while he's here on a travel visa and while he's here on that visa apply for a CR1?

3) does he have to stay in sweden for the whole Visa process or can he live here with me and be interviewed in the us?

4)after being married, he'll go on my health,  car and renters insurance.... but we won't have anything we own together as we don't own property...  besides that,  we'll have pictures,  cards/gifts, message/ FaceTime/ phone calls, etc to show our relationship... Is that enough?

5)I've saw people say that need to prove they live together,  but I thought he couldn't stay here?  We will live together if he's allowed to stay...

6) any other things that can give me info and the proper way to go about this is really appreciate it....

Thanks!

1a.  Viable option

1b. Viable option IF he returns to home country.  He can not come to the US via a non-immigrant visa or VWP with the intent to marry, and stay.

3.  He must return to home country after marriage. He can NOT come to the US with the intent to marry, remain, and adjust status.   However, visiting you in the US during the process is legal.

4.  Every case is different.  You will need evidence of a bona fide marriage.  The things you listed can be used.

5.  You need evidence of having spent time together.  He will not be able to legally stay if he comes with the intent to stay after marriage....unless you go the K-1 Fiance route.

6.  Read the guides here on VisaJourney, get familiar with the entire process.

Note:  Spousal visa will take 12-14 months after filing.....Good Luck to you.

Either of these can work.  He can come here on a visitor visa to get married and return but he will have to prove to CBP that he has ties back to Sweden when he enters.  You can fill out the forms while he is here, but again, he cannot enter the US on VWP with the intent to stay.

He can visit during the CR1 process, but he will need to prove to CBP he has no plans to stay each time he enters.

You can only send the evidence you have.

Certainly people going through the CR1 process can not prove they are living together by definition.  What you need to show is that you are commingling the marriage such as bank accounts, utility bills, etc.
