The charges are legit for a number of reasons:

 

1. They have cameras that caught them in the act of doing this, also it's kinda hard to hide being how tall they are. 

 

2. They fessed up during the press conference and said they did it.

It was presumptuous and immature for Trump to complain less than 24 hours after they returned to the USA about whether or not they would thank him. It also made him look incredibly desperate. He must have such a busy life worrying about whether some college students will say his name.

What we don't know is what the kids said or how they acted towards Trump in China.  Or if there were any interaction at all.

 

What I do think should happen now is the boys should be benched for a season, maybe for good.  Sends a pretty bad message to the world when famous lids commit crimes in a foreign country.  Makes it even worse when the father excuses it nationally.  Punks.

Aside from the vulgarity of sob, he now called LaVar Ball an 'ungrateful fool' for not thanking him enough but coddles a child molester.

Generally speaking I would say respect doesn't need to be earned and, as a default, everyone deserves respect.

 

That being said - While respect doesn't have to be earned, it can certainly be lost.

Trump is turning politics on its ear and I for one think this is a good thing.  Good Republicans are just supposed to stay quiet and never respond to attacks either from the Democrats or the media, and this change Trump is doing is throwing them off their game.  Personally, I hate Twitter, but I can tolerate those that use it for whatever reason.
