Finish I-130 after NOA2 Approval

We just submitted (July 17) the I-130 form and received our NOA1 notification. I know we're supposed to receive NOA2 in about 9-10 months. 

 

Is it possible to move to the States when we receive the NOA2 Approval and complete the application there?

 

I (an American) have a job starting in April and need to move over then, but don't want to leave my husband in Israel until it is fully completed. 

 

Anyone know if this is a possibility? I hope to move by July 1 with my husband, but will this be a possibility?

no, it is considered fraud when entering the country with the intent to adjust status

 

you won't be the first nor the last person to leave the spouse behind, it happens all the time

See if you can get it expedited through the USCIS. Tell them that you need to return to the US to work and would be unable to support two separate households. Say that waiting would cause severe financial stress in your family. I dont know if it would help but financial difficulties are one of the expedite criteria.

Just to be clear, this still wouldn't allow them to move, just speed up the USCIS process, they would then again have to apply at NVC and consulate levels.

You can try expediting the NVC stage and hopefully you'll get an interview fast, but 12 months is a bit tight unless Nebraska picks up some speed. A lot of us are at the 9-10 month mark still waiting for approvals, some even more, so expect 14-16 months at least instead. Being separated from your spouse is less than ideal but it is doable, many of us go through it while being away for months and years at a time. You're lucky you get to spend the majority of it together  Start your job in April, hopefully, it won't take much longer after that until your spouse can join you.

I wouldn't think about expediting it with the request that you won't be able to support two households at the same time. Many spouses live separate from each other for months and even longer than a year.
