Other more knowledgable people may chime in and correct me if I am wrong but I believe you will first need to do an ROM (Report of Marriage) with the Philippine Consulate closest to where you were married (not sure what state you live in). Then you will be able to apply for a new passport in your married name. As for the AOS I don't believe you will have any problem because you will have a marriage certificate as reason for the name change.

#1  complete ROM (Report of Marriage) with the Philippine consulate representing the state where you were married.

You NOA from filing AOS can be used if you do not have your green card

They require evidence that a person has not acquired foreign citizenship .. thus wanting a copy of the green card or I-797 Notice of Action for filing AOS

How many months to process the ROM?.

ROM is 6-8 weeks if you mail it in, if memory serves.   We did everything at an outreach event, got the ROM document back in about 4 weeks, passport was not too far behind that.

If you mail it in to a consulate then it takes roughly 6-8 weeks. But if you go there in person it can be done the same day.

It still takes about 4 weeks before you get the registered copy back in the mail, as it has to be sent to PSA then back to the consulate.  But yes, she can do both ROM and passport the same day in person at the consulate or an outreach .. I totally agree there!

So you mean. If i go to consulate to apply the ROM, i can also apply my passport and change name at the same time?

I'm about to Report my Marriage in the Philippine Consulate and renew my passport in person. :) Do I need to bring 2 self addressed envelope (one for the passport and one for the report of marriage) or just 1? I'm confused.

Thank you!!

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

I was on a K-1 Visa on 2014.
