Yeah that reenforces my estimated time range of 6-7.5 months. If you got your NOA1 on 11/24 ( me on 11/28) than realistically I think we will hear within the next 2-6 weeks. Not bad.

My PD: 11/21/2018 and I received the notice "We need more information from you... We sent you a Request for Evidence (RFE) because we need more information from you" I'm waiting the detail of RFE

I hope it not take me long time

I filed I130 for my parents @TSC in November, 2017. I got approved for my Mom 3 weeks ago and it was sent to NVC. While I was waiting to get my father approval letter, today I got RFE asking for my birth certificate. I submitted the same birth certificate for both petitions. The RFE says: Submit the photocopy of my original birth certificate. Not sure whether its the IO did not see the certificate that was submitted during the initial application or was it misplaced and they are asking. I cannot think of possible scenarios because I submitted the exact same birth certificate for both petitions, one got approved, one required RFE. Are there anyone who has experienced the same situation? I am planning to send the same certificate again. Any suggestions would highly be appreciated.

The good news is, as soon as they receive a response from you, they should approve it in a matter of days.

This would be a good opportunity for you to call USCIS, ask the TIER 1 Officer to give you their supervisor. Politely vent about the situation and ask the supervisor to send a request for expedition, and emphasize that the Birth Certificate is in the file that you sent.

The Expedition request will trigger a Tier 2 Officer to pick up the case.

Do mention, that the reason for expedition is because of "USCIS ERROR," the error being that you sent a copy of your birth certificate for you father, and they overlooked it.

Hope this works out.

Good Luck!!

Thank you Rana. I resent the same copy of my birth certificate today. I called USCIS yesterday and talked to the Tier 1 representative, she mentioned she can't see in the system that an RFE was sent. My online status still says: Case Recevived. I will just wait a few weeks and see.

Hey All,

After checking both the old and new case status sites.  They yet again are telling me two different things.

One saying that now today, June 8th, my case was transferred and another saying my case was just received.

After calling, I come to find out my letter was just sent out today and my case is at NBC (National Benefits Center). After speaking with them, they said it’s just case overload again.  But, we won’t know until I receive that letter.

My husband is in living in Egypt which was filled out correct on the first on forms. And I am a USC.

Lots of prayers needed.  Or any help and insight.
