I got denied yesterday on my CR1 I-130. We filed September 16,2016 and wa waited 13 months and end up getting denied.

have anyone went through this before? What did you do and how long it take to get approve?

What was the reason for denial? Did you receive the offical letter?

All you can do is to wait for the denial letter to come in the mail and it should states why you were denied. until then, no advise can be given.

Based on your timeline, I see that you received an RFE sometime ago. The denial might have to do with what they originally asked for in the RFE. Can you elaborate about what was the RFE for? also, share some basic information about your case to get better help.

Usually people have a pretty good idea why a petition was denied.  If neither of you does, you'll just have to wait for the letter.  Unlike a visa denial, USCIS will be quite specific.

Petitions are denied when you fail to provide evidence that...

The petitioner is a US Citizen

The couple were both free to marry at the time the marriage took place

The marriage was legally registered in the country or US State where it happened

....or the beneficiary is eligible for US Citizenship and should have applied for a passport instead of having a petition filed in their behalf
