In most of the cases it takes a week maximum so don't worry, everything will be just fine  

Congrats on the change of the embassy, see everything's fine.

Ignore what they say with those steps, its not for your visa type. Just track the status. They'll send your case to the embassy and afterwards you'll have to deal with the embassy when the status will show "ready".

Good Morning @KOI. Yes, the interview will be conducted in Abu Dhabi. I will have my interview next monday October 9. Once the status shows "READY", you can go ahead and proceed with DS-160. You can pay the Visa fee of $265 here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ae/iv . This link will also let you schedule your interview. However, you have to wait for the packet 3 from the embassy before you can go ahead and schedule your interview. It took them 21 days to process my packet 3 and it was sent to my fiance.

Did your fiance have to do a medical exam? Was it done in your country or will be done in Abudhabi... if so do you know how much time between the medical and the interview is needed ?

Yes, Medical Exam has to be done. The Medical Exam is usually done in the same country the interview is done in. The time between the Medical Exam and the Interview is really up to you, just make sure you leave enough time for your medical exam result to get back to the embassy before you interview.

I apologize for the confusion. I am the beneficiary. I just got my medical results last night. Packet 3 which will be sent to your fiance's registered email will include instruction of what documents to bring during the interview and a set of panel physician accredited by US embassy. I had my medical last September 28.

Okay so whenw e go we probably have to stay for a week in abu dhabi then... just trying to figure out timelines and if I can take time off from work to accompany .

Your case was just received by the embassy. Now, all you have to do is wait for the packet 3 from them. It normally takes 3 weeks minimum to 1 month maximum for you to get it.

There were a few applicants who were turned away by the embassy because they booked an appointment without the packet 3. It looks like they stopped sending it during summer or maybe the person who handles it was on vacation. They just resumed sending the packet 3 recently and those people who were turned away and waited 3 months got theirs already.

 

I hope you will get the packet 3 the soonest so that you can schedule the appointment right away. I checked the available dates and it seems that you will have your interview last week of November or 1st week of December.

Yea I was surprised! When i called yesterday it sounded like it was going to take 2 weeks.

Bonjour everyone. Well my Mum and I made it to Montreal yesterday. Our small bachelor Airbnb is well ok. It is a lot like camping cept you have a bed and a bathroom lol. The view from the downtown 11th floor balcony is awesome. My medical is in just over an hour. Eating breakfast and then Mum and I will go navigate the subway. I will let you all know how it goes.

Traveling days...... #FlyingSucks, 3 landings in 3 airports to destination and

26 hrs to go till I get to see Ann again. She's what makes it all worthwhile.  Goodluck @pajobra for medical, and hope your Montreal stay is a memorable time with your Mom that you both will cherish for years to come. There's so many of us in all stages of the journey.... I wish you all good outcomes for the NOA2, NVC, medicals, and interviews.  As internet is available, I'll check in to look for great news from y'all

My fiance's flying to Manila in the morning for the medical and interview. This is so stressful but exciting at the same time. Just waiting now for the news to get her.
