@Going through, do you, by any chance have the link to apply n400 online. I can't see it on the uscis.gov website. All i see was to pay i.misrant fee amd the AP application

Thanks for posting that link.  If it wasn't for your posts I wouldn't even know you could do it online as they really seem to have hidden the link.

Yes, I too wish they would make the option of applying online more prominent on their website.  I had to have someone else here walk me through how to find the link as well!

My CIMT never came up at the border by POE officers for questioning whenever I travelled back and forth between both countries during the years prior to my marriage (which was about a dozen times).  Although my charge is/was a CIMT, and committed when I was an adult, it was not an inadmissible charge since I fell under the "petty offense exception", so I never needed an I-601 waiver.

Yeah, it's kind of crazy that they care about something so long ago especially if you've kept a clean record since then.  Without revealing too much, was the offense something that might have given them concerns about moral character (drugs, fraud etc)?  That's the only thing I can think they would really care about, but perhaps it's just an automatic requirement that as soon as you declare an arrest two people need to sign-off on it to make sure that people don't slip through a lenient IO.

My offense was a CIMT, and I had kept a clean record since...From what I've heard and seen around here, it is a common thing where whenever you have a criminal record, no matter a CIMT or not, no matter how long ago, the supervisor does have to approve an IO's recommendation for approval.

 

I kind of figured it might still raise an issue at my N400 interview because of it being a CIMT, I was just taken back at that moment when I blurted out my response to her.  Maybe it's a good thing I blurted that out, though, since it prompted her to get the approval right away instead of delaying my application further.

I am competing my N400 online. So do you know if I attach the same court documents and expunged document for every question I answer as “yes” under the criminal offense section.
