ur my renovation twinsie! although your renovation dwarfs mine :D

Im so happy you got affordable help. I saw the quote on your site and thought it was outstanding. You know I think the grey is uber-fab, but that red is fantastic as well!

Ironically enough Larry had originally chosen a dark green and I just wasn't that keen on it. Then we chose a dark blue and neither of us was 100% happy. Then we saw the grey (called Jasper btw!) and both thought...that's it!! We need a dark colour to hide any minor imperfections with the clapboards. They're in good nick but obviously not perfect. Light colours show them up more, dark colours hide them!

The red we have used in the laundry room for the trim too, it is a gorgeous colour and it was a spur of the moment thing to paint the external doors with it. It worked though and now we shall do the porch inserts this colour too.

I was the first to comment on the blog how I think this will be a fantastic thing that will make Larry want to finish the inside as well. I love the colors!

You did, we saw that! :D I HOPE it'll get him motivated but I'm not holding my breath. I would like four walls up in the bedroom before winter though! :P

gosh - what a difference!!!

ooooh the stone foundation :luv: do you also have a dirt basement?

Yup, it is dirt. Still has all the dirt shelves where people used to store their veggies in the 1800's!

P.S. This is what Larry has told me anyway. I've been here nearly a year and refuse to go down there!

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Thanks, I'll tell hubby that you've offered your services!

Well, we're almost there now, just some touch ups (on the house!!!) needed here and there. It's been a long old slog, but there's light at the end of the incredibly dark tunnel:

I'll take some front pics (of the house!) when it gets light. :D

Oh, and here's the obligatory/gratuitous cat pic:

I noticed the last post on the blog was over a year ago. What's been going on? Reno complete?

I lost my computer last year and everything I had saved, all my bookmarks, and I only found the house blog ones today. Went to check and they're all outdated.
