Ok, so this will sound weird, but a few months back I recall a member posting a link to his blog, in which he showed pictures and updates of his DIY house renovation, while he waited for his fiancee to get her K1 and fly over.

I don't remember which member was, but I thought it was neat and I like following these types of blogs, and wondered how the house was now.

I looked and used the search but nothing came up. Anyone remember this?

No idea. Will check into his user to see if that was it.

EDIT: Yes! That was it. Thank you. :)

I think it's really fun those renovation thingies and I like reading about them. Maybe I was a constructor in another life, who knows.

Hello! If you want a new link, here you go:

http://www.oldhousegazette.com/house/

The old link won't work anymore as we had to change the name for legal reasons.

I've just got in from painting more of the outside actually; it's nearly all grey now. I said nearly!

I never knew it was you Mags! I left a comment there, in case you have no idea who was invading your blog. I love DIY projects although I suck at them.

I can't wait to have a house of my own so I can work on it like you guys are doing. Although I do hope it's not gonna be a historical house, 'cus I can only do cosmetic stuff, and Luis can't even assemble walmart furniture, so I can deal with painting, hanging stuff on the walls, sanding, etc. But not fixing eletrical, plumbing, and building. :P

I have to admit, until I helped put up a ceiling I had done little in the way of actual building work. Now I'm a pretty good with a nail gun...and I like it!

The house is coming together slowly, but it's a HUGE job. Everything has to be replaced in most of the rooms. Walls, floor, ceilings etc etc. Of course, if you have any spare time.... :P

I think a party will be in order! Mind you, it'll probably be a bit like the Golden Gate Bridge. By the time we get around to finishing it, the bits we did first will need re-decorating again!

i think the blog rocks! i have checked up on it for awhile now. the grey exterior looks lo-vely.

Thanks! We did spend a bit of time pondering colours. First it was a dark green, then a greenish blue, then I realised that it would need at least 3-4 coats of paint to get that colour. So, grey it is!

Actually, I really like it, much more than the green originally picked.
