AOS Approved??

Hi Everybody,

I got this email today:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On April 19, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

My wife and son arrived on a K-1 visa. We filed the I485 in September 2006 and had a biometrics appointmewnt a few months ago. In February we received a RFE for the medical exam and vaccinations and sent that in a couple weeks ago. I thought we would have an interview and have to wait a few months for a name chack before we're approved. Maybe I don't understand the process. Does this notice mean we're approved without the interview and name chack or will the notice give us an appointment for the interview? Thanks for any info.

aint it a great feeling... fingers crossed the card arrives with no mistakes...

if your AOS was transferred to California you get approved without interview...i also was transferred i had no interview..

It also means namecheck was infact done, but its now completed.

Most cases that get transfered to CSC don't get an interview unless they are transfered backto a local office!

We got the same letter yesterday.... no Interview. My question is, what about the money I just sent for Work permit and Advanced Parole. I think is all non-refundable but come on !!..... did anybody go thru with this?. All replies are greatly appreciated

Unfortunately not, and it's too bad that the money was "wasted", but it's basically insurance if it took you several months or years to receive your Green Card you wouldn't be waiting all that time to work and travel. Like insurance you may never need it, but it's a good thing to have in case you do.

i was transferred to CSC got my greencard with no interview...received my greencard in november 2006 then in december 2006 i received my EAD card 7 weeks after my greencard approval...i had heard of it before but it does happen..

your greencard with cover everything for 2 years...EAD and AP...its a shame they didnt work faster on those two so it didnt seem a waste of money for you..

i reckon when these kinds of things happen the money you spent on the other applications should go towards the removing of conditions...and they want to put up the fees..can you imagine how many people go through the same thing and they keep the money ...
