Hi all,

I am about to send my package to the NVC, and I am wondering if I have everything. To be better safe than sorry I am asking for your input!

I have:

1 -The document Cover Sheet

2. Photocopies of

- Valid Unexpired passport

- Birth Certificate with translation

- Marriage certificate with translation

- Police certificates with translation

3. Signed Affidavits of Support

- Proof of US Status co-sponsor

- IRS Tax transcripts of co-sponsor, which meets the income requirement

- Since my wife didn't file taxes bc of no income a letter that states why she didnt file taxes

Am I missing something?

And is it true that in the Affidavit of Support (I864) you have to fill ALL the blank spots with N/A?

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

For a bona fide relationship, many of us did what is called "front loading" with all of the documents needed at some point.  I included documentation we spent time together (travel documents, photos, etc.) financial ties (Western Union, authorized credit cards), letters of witnesses saying we were a couple, some prints of chats.  What you submit to the NVC is forwarded to the embassy where you interview, and the interviewer will see those documents before seeing you.  This has the potential of shaving off time and effort at then.  And my guiding principle was to make it easy to approve.  I wanted them to have to request nothing more.

That said, I can't say if anyone ever looked at those, or if it helped, though all I can say is it went well, and little was asked of us in the interview.

We included the individual document cover sheets for the IV and AOS packages. These cover sheets are the ones you can print out after successfully paying the AOS and IV fees. This is probably overkill and not required if you're including the document cover sheet included in the NVC welcome email, but we were paranoid and included them anyways. Other than that I can't see anything else missing.

I did not fill out N/A in all the BLANK spots and had no problems. If you're filling out the form using Adobe Reader, it doesn't even allow you to necessarily type N/A in all of the spots. Nevertheless, it appears to be common advice given here on VisaJourney to do so.

You can send in AOS and IV packages before you even do the DS260?

They're going to wait for both of them anyway
