This journey and this forum taught me to be humble and to be patient.  This is all out of our control, but at some point most of us get to the finish line.

If you're a paper filer, you probably don't need to worry about your case being processed too fast!  :lol:  That's a good problem to have, indeed!  :rofl:

 

I decided to send a paper application since all I care about is becoming an American citizen by Nov, 2018 so I can vote.  :dancing:

 

I don't know about your situation, but if you have a strong reason (such as medical) why your application needs to get processed ASAP,  you might be able to contact your Congressperson or Senator to get it expedited if possible.  :idea:

Don't beat yourself over it. There are online filers from May/June without interview schedule and there are paper filers from August who have already had their interview scheduled. So, like always, USCIS is really unpredictable. I think there are a lot of other variables dictating how soon an interview is scheduled (may be Field Office, may be background checks, may be applicant's country of origin, may be complexity of cases etc etc). That's just my guess. There is really no way of telling. I wish you all the very best and hope you hear the good news soon :)

I checked our status yesterday and as of September 20th we're in line for interview. I don't know when this changed, could have been yesterday or the day after our biometrics. Unfortunately I forgot to sign up for email/text updates. We're at the Boston FO, hoping that we get the interview letter soon!

Hmm I didn't see one, will check again when I get home. Not that it really matters, the interview letter can could come tomorrow or 9 months from now. All I can really do at this point is wait :/

I passed my interview. Good thing I read here at visajourney that whenever the I751 is not yet approved, the N400 sched interview will have the I751 interview too. The IO just asked our name, ss#, address, bday, how and when we met. IO asked for the original copy of the birth certificate of my husband then he stamped the photocopy. He said I passed the I751 and requested husband to go to the waiting area so that IO will interview me for my N400. After the N400 interview, IO gave me Form N652 with encircled "You passed the English test and U.S. history and government test." "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval" "It is very important that you attend your scheduled Oath Ceremony." highlighted the "Dress in proper attire...."

 

I'm now waiting for the Oath letter N-445.
