Heads up guys, we probably won't see any updates from USCIS today since it's Columbus Day and they're closed.

Just letting you know in case you're like me, an anxious mess, who checks the tracker app non stop.

Today is a good day to take a break from USCIS, have some "me" time, read a book, meditate, go on a hike, do the chores you've been putting off.... whatever works for you. Just know that no matter how much you check, we won't get any news today. Tomorrow is a different deal.

Hang in there, mates.

No kidding! They barely did any updates last Friday.... What I don't understand about USCIS' work philosophy is that they act is if though they are an underfunded public institution that must reduce hours and days of work to meet budget requirements like DMV offices do or other government agencies. When in reality, financially wise, they are considered part of the private sector as their funds do not come from tax payer money but rather from fees we pay. They've never reported being tight with money, quite the opposite actually. Their employees get handsome vacation and benefits packages, they're allowed to work from home and telecommunicate yet they feel the need to work by the federal calendar and leave early on fridays??? wth! My company (private sector) gives plenty of good benefits and vacation but to hell with the federal calendar, I'm at work today! and leaving early on fridays is never been at practice unless the hours are made up somehow or taken off of my vacation or an emergency.

I support legal immigration and those involved in legal immigration.

Funny thing is all of those who supporting illegals will lie in their citizenship applications and if it's will uncovered will blame uscis and current administration. Pathetic..

Due to overload, they transfered a lot of applications to other centers.

The only thing u can do is relax, sit back and enjoy the ride, because trust me.... this is gonna be a loooooooooooooooooong ride (count the o’s to find out how many months us , the 2017 have to wait. 18 months, correct). U can’t do anything.. and prob the waiting line for the 2018 applicants will get longer and longer! The 2019 will be the only lucky ones because of the elections of the 2020. They ll want them to get their citizenship fast to be able to vote

Did they cash your check?  By using a personal check for payments you have a second method of tracking receipt.

Maybe you forgot something, so they're sending back the application/packet. That happened to my wife last year when she filed for ROC. Didn't take a month though, took 2-3 weeks. Has your check been cashed yet? If so, then I would contact USCIS. It not, then perhaps cancel your check and resubmit your application?

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some advice. After almost 4 years of marriage my husband and I will be going through a divorce. Has anyone gone through this and refilled a single petition?  Waiting on the lifting of condition has really stressed me out when i think it could have been lifted before this happened and now it has placed me in a serious position. He has indicated that he will not make himself available to help me so i have no choice but to refill as single

Any advice on refilling petition? Will it put me at the back of the line?  Any advise on how i should proceed would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You should  hire a lawyer, they better know how to deal with this. I got divorced before I submitted the application to lift conditions, so I did it already divorced but with a lawyer ‘cause didn’t want to make any mistake

It's just ridiculous.. we have to go and get a stamp because the driving license is going to expire soon. What the heck is going on with Vermont.

Just a quick question,  do the local office scan the infopass appointment  letter in their system . Their is bar code on the Confirmation page .
