Hey all USCIS updated their processing times! VSC (7/18/2016) is about a month ahead of CSC (6/20/2016) for ROC

I wonder what the colors mean or if they mean anything? For VSC the I-751 is yellow and for CSC it's green...

Also I'm just noticing this page for the first time? Hasn't been updated in a year though.

Yeah I'm kind of shocked that VSC is faster than CSC now..

The green/yellow are just interchanging as the form numbers change. I assume they have it like that to make it easier to follow/read

Looking at last month's filers, it took some of them an entire month to receive bio appt letters, so I guess we're still within normal processing times.

Also - I just traveled. Crossed the border back in Detroit, MI (Detroit Windsor Tunnel land border crossing) and handed the officer the green card and extension letter. Relatively hassle free experience. I am glad most officers are familiar with them.

I hope you do too! You should, especially if you fly.

Border crossings at the airports are far more streamlined than they are at land ports of entry from my experience.

Right, I'm a July 2017 CSC filer and I still haven't received my biometrics letter. My NOA1 is dated July 26th, I received it on August 1st. There are quite a few people in our group that like me have late July NOA1s and are still waiting for the bio letter.  For some reason the majority of early/mid July filers received theirs quite fast. The waiting is frustrating, but oh well.

Best of luck to you, August filers! :)

Good luck to you too @Anna51. Hopefully you get your biometric letter in the next few days. I hope you keep us posted.

I'm more stressed out with this stupid bio letter because of the active hurricane season here in FL. We have a friend who did her immigration a few years ago and everything got delayed because of a tropical storm during her scheduled biometric appointment.

Thank you! I'm sorry to hear about the hurricane season, I hope you won't have any issues or delays.

Morning all - We filed earlier this month (NOA 8/11) - just received the letter. Has anyone else been unable to log on to USCIS.gov to confirm status? Says our number doesn't exist...guessing there is a lag in in putting cases? Thanks for any insight.

Hey there! Welcome and good luck to you.

I had the same issue as you at first.  The receipt number from your I-751 extension letter is not actually your case number.

You will get the case number on the biometric letter, and online it will be listed as CRI89 I believe.. I'm not sure, because I haven't received my bio letter yet either, but based on the wording of the NOA1, and people on here, I assume there will be a different WAC or EAC number listed on the bio letter, and that is the one we will be able to track.

Just got my NOA yesterday dated 08/11. I'm going out of town next week and I was wondering if I need to worry about getting a Bio letter. From what I've been reading biometrics are taking longer this month. I'll be out of town from 08/26 to 09/03. Is it likely I would recieve the appt letter and have the appointment before I'm back?

I've seen from some July filers they got there bio letter 4 days before their appointment. Usually the actual appt is exactly 1 month +/- few days from the filing day. So I think  we will get it by the end of next week, hopefully.

Based on our filing dates ( early Aug), nobody got their bio yet, so you should be fine I guess. You can sign up for USPS inform delivery. It's free and this way you will be able to get emails every morning with images what's gonna be in your mailbox every day. Very useful especially if you are away from home, you will be sure to not miss your bio letter, you won't be able to see what's inside but this way you will know that you got it at least.
