How much more time it will take for the welcome letter to come??

It takes a minimum of 4-6 weeks after NvC receives your case. Call NVc to make sure they received your case.

We haven't got Welcome letter yet. I called and  also dropped an email to NVC . On 28th Jan 2017 they responded saying our case was received by NVC on 20th Dec 2017 and they are yet to do data entry in NVC system. So they asked us to wait .

Now it has been 9 weeks from date of i-130 approval.  Please drop and email to nvcinquiry@state.gov to know your case status.

It generally takes up to 8 weeks from the date NVC receive the file, not from when you were approved. So you still have a couple of weeks to go. Mine was received 6 weeks after NVC received my file. (8 weeks after approval).

Mine took 8 weeks total after approval - so 6 weeks from the date NVC received our file. It generally takes up to 8 weeks from the date NVC receive your file (so around 10 weeks from approval more or less). If you still haven't received it by then, try calling - or even try calling around the 6 week mark as they sometimes have the case number ready for you, but just haven't sent it out to you yet.

Yes. My PD is April 27th, CSC, but I have heard May filers getting approval. Don't know why they skip some cases.

I think it also depends on your nationality. Let's say there are 1000 ppl from your country applied before you, then you would have to wait to be the 1001. Might take awhile but well, we've already been waiting for almost 2 years, what else we can do? 😢

Wait some more I guess.

There is a per country cap for the countries with most immigrants but I thought USCIS processed cases based upon the priority dates and status of the petitioner (PR or Citizen). Couldn't find anything on the web pertaining to this.

Great news, guys! March VB is out and we have 5 weeks movement! Nobody saw that coming, it's a very pleasant surprise! And it finally moved to 2017, gratz everybody ☺️

Hi, I wanted to know the implication of this movement for us?  My PD is 2017 April 5th. Good luck for your NOA2 may it come soon. We received ours on Dec 20. NVC says they received it from USCIS but are yet to enter it into their system.
