Naturalization after Vawa GreenCard Approved

I need help please,I am an approved vawa I-360 GreenCard Holder and thinking about applying for citizenship soon,I called USCIS about the three yr rule as Vawa Approved greencard and two Agents dont know about it and said I have to wait 5yrs. My question has anyone ever applied for Naturalization after This type of Greencard holder and what needs to send documents when Applying as Vawa Self Petitioner Approved GreenCard Holder.Also when Applying for citizenship how long can you be outside of often out of the country only?

You can apply for naturalisation after three years when your green card is approved under VAWA. There's a USCIS policy memo stating this.

Your abuser must have been a US citizen and not an LPR to qualify under the three year rule; if they were an LPR then you must instead apply under the five year rule.

thank you so much also when I apply for citizenship How long I have to be inside the country before I apply? does once a yr travel will hurt?is it straight 18 months before you apply.And Yes She was a USC and I was approved VAWA and have my grenecard.

I filed my N400 on approved VAWA. VAWA beneficiaries can file based on 3 year rule. Also the time spent outside the country is the same for everyone, Not more than 6 months with approved parole.

thank you much...so I dont have to stay straight 18 months before applying for Citizenship? like once a yr trip for two weeks vacation is ok? Also do u mind sharing your experience filing Naturalization base on VAWA can u send me the documents I need to include in my

N-400 packet.its crazy when I called USCIS they said I cant do the 3yr rule two agents told me.My Ex Spouse is a USC born.

Did you have to take the original VAWA approval notice to the interview ? I only have photocopies of my approval which was over 10 years ago.

No. They should be able to look up your previous applications in their system.

 Thanks so much. I do have a copy of it and my original I 485 notice and originals of everything else apart from the termination of removal proceedings which was sent as a copy  by my attorney too. For some reason I believe my attorney at the time sent the originals with my AOS application but sent me a copy.
