Hello everyone,

I'm US Permanent resident and married to my girlfriend last month, who is on F1 student visa. We never lived together more than 7 days after marriage.

Am I be eligible for filling I-130 for her? Does it require both of us to have same physical address (or lived together) before I fill petition for her?

Will filled/approved I-130 affect her post grade OPT application?

Please give provide your advice & experience.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thank you

Yes, you are eligible if you are in a bona fide relationship. Hopefully you are aware about F2A category timeline though.

Thanks Kzielu for your feedback.

Yeah I am aware of F2A timeline. We have joint bank account and also added her name in one of utility bill.

Will filled/approved I-130 affect her post grade OPT application?
