Congrats! Thank you for sharing your experience. It is very long and detailed which is great for all of us who are still waiting.  I requested my case expedite as well. NVC says that the case is at the embassy and I am praying to hear from the embassy this week.  If not I will be contacting them.

We had the same thing told to us.  But the case was not transferred.  It took 13 days from cc.   The key will be your status will change to complete.  When that happens immediately contact the consulate.

Once your file reached Embassy in your interview city, I suggest you call them and check in case of any confusion. They will definitely give you answer to that specific Embassy requirements. However if you have submitted everything and have not been asked for any other financial documents, no reason to ask for a new AOS.

A new i864 was not required.  I took the 2016 tax return with me just in case as additional proof of our relationship since it was our first joint tax return.  It was the only document they took from us as additional proof of our relationship which I was prepared to give to them.

Thank you. My case changed to "ready" on 6/20. I called them and they directed me to a 703 phone number. I called that number on Friday and I was told that they would escalate it since in was an expedite. If I don't here anything I will email and call them again.

@Chahal hope your interview was good. Please share your experience. It would be helpful for all.

 Interview was good, my husband was out by 11:30 Am. We actually got a 221g for Not having the correct pcc. They told my husband that everything went good and he doesn't need to return, He just had to get the right pcc and mail it with his passport. We will be mailing our paperwork in tomm morning so hopefully within the next week or two we should get our visa :)

Thanks for posting this @MLK2016. Though from the different experiences people have shared, new I864 is not a mandatory document at the time of interview but it's good to have. Like the other hundred and odd proofs of relationship. I have more than 10k photos with my husband 🤣🤣. Imagine  the number of albums I would be carryiny. Impossible to carry everything though..

Glad that it was not much of trouble for you guys and hope you get your visa quickly. What PCC was that? Was it not issued from passport office? I thought passport office issues standard PCC country vice and gives two copies (both original) for USA. Curious to know..

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case.  The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant's visa application.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance.  The U.S. Embassy tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments as they become documentarily qualified.  Most appointments are set within three months of NVC's receipt of all requested documentation.  However, before applicants in a numerically limited (preference) visa category can receive an appointment, their priority date must also be current.  This can delay receipt of an appointment.  You can track your priority date using the Visa Bulletin on .

When an appointment is available, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable).  The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassy's interview requirements online at . Thank you for your patience.

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview.  For example, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

· He or she is more than 16 years old;

· The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and

· He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.

The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

Sincerely,

National Visa Center
