Your dates are similar to mine.... I was married in Oct 2014 and then arrived in USA Sep 2015. Yes you need to file the I-751 90 days before the expiry of your current green card.

i originally filed June 5... Per USPS my package was delivered  to CSC in California.  however Saturday we received a rejected I 751 back,  due to the fact that it was missing the check and page 2 of the application.  The only thing sent back was the application,  none of the evidence was sent back none of the copies of documents were sent back and included in the paperwork it showed that the  package arrived at uscis in houston office and the envelope was hand written by a USPS employee, and a usps envelope.  Houston  uscis turns around and mails it to CSC.  of course CSC rejected it due to no check and no page 2.  I am not even sure that CSC  has any of the evidence that I sent to them or the photographs that I sent.

I am mailing a new package tomorrow and I have to include the rejected i-751.  this time however I have it a little bit more organized and this time I will add a signature confirmation to the delivery.

since I don't know if CSC has my evidence I am resending everything!

Hey janet&adonis, sorry to hear about your misfortune.  It's really strange what happened to you.... :(   Have faith in this system but don't assume anything from here on.  It's wise that your re-sending everything and sending it with signature confirmation.  I wonder if it was all the clamps that set off USPS to have to open and re-package your original envelope?  You might want to re-visit the packaging this time around.

Our file got a big run around the nation when applying for our IR1.  We kept on top of them from the get go....and it paid off but only after we kept persisting.  Took us almost 18 months to get our approval!!!

Hoping our package goes out tomorrow.  We've been procrastinating putting our personal evidence together, well not really, we've been out having fun.  I love this stage of life!!! :jest:

I'm sorry to hear that. I used small paperclips as well. But I divided all the exhibits with doubled paperclips. The check I put in exhibit A after my coversheet and form I-751 and use three paperclips to make sure the check won't missing. I also took pictures all my docs in case something happened like this and I could dispute it later.

I wonder how could they lost your check. It was not your fault. Anyhow, your package looks good. Better than mine.

I think USCIS tend to lose stuff. I would follow the instructions on their website regarding how to package and organise your petition https://www.uscis.gov/forms-filing-tips. They prefer two hole punching at top with ACCO fasteners. Maybe use a big heavy paper clip to attach the check to the cover letter.

I think its a great idea to send everything again.

Good luck to you.

yes I took a complete copy of the original package that I sent so it's not that hard to send another one but I'm unsure if my private personal information was compromised because the check was missing and I don't know if CSC has any of the evidence

im pretty sure it was the us postal service because they stated that my package was delivered in Laguna niguel  but when I receive the rejected application it showed that a united states postal worker mailed my package in a usps envelope to Houston so it was opened in California post office.

i had the package insured so i will be filing a claim

I'm glad you had it insured.

One question that tickled me, though. How come the USPS worker mailed it to the wrong address that it was clearly enough stating go to California not in Texas?
