VSC May 30 filer, still pending. EAC242xx...

Got my I-551 stamp last week and went in local DMV to renew my license with the stamp successfully!

This would be the shortest permanent driver licence I am going to have (08/2018-02/2019), lol. So glad got the license smoothly no matter what!

At least they sent you an email...CSC does not communicate at all, even when you subscribe to be notified by text/email.

Every state has different rules on that matter apparently. As long as you meet all the DMV requirements to obtain/renew, you can choose the length of your driver's license where I reside.

That would be a depressing thread knowing how things evolve at CSC...lol...Although, I have seen some movements yesterday on 17213 cases, if anyone cares to know.

most states provide driver license for 4 or 6 years, drivers will have the option;  but not 6 months though.

When it comes to driver lincenses I believe every DMV or agent has the availability to issue driver licenses based on a lot of factors, in my case I was issued a 10 year valid driver license with my 2 years green card, don’t ask me why since I don’t know why I was issue a 10 year license, and I got it after I went to the DMV to update my license from a temporary one I had issue with my work permit, as soon as I got my green card I went to get a replacement and they gave me that one with a 10 year validity. I live in Orlando

Yes, NH is different.

Last driving license last one year  from 08/2017 to 08/2017(pending I-751).

This coming one is going to last from 08/2018 to 02/2019 (depends on the green card expiration date or I-551 stamp date).

Good thing is no charge though because they were saying the 1st time using the green card to apply for driving licence(that was 2015) already paid the 5-year fee.
