I am not really sure where to post this so I thought I might start here..

We got our NOA2 Septemeber 19-2017. NVC received the case October 4th. On October 24th we were told that our case had been sent electronically to the consulate. I waited a few days and contacted the consulate and they informed us that they had not received any case. I contacted NVC again and was told it takes time, which didnt make sense to me since it was sent electronically. I waited a few more days and contacted the consulate again and again they said they had nothing. When I called NVC once more I was finally able to speak with a supervisor who told me that it looked like there was something that went wrong with the system when our case was sent and that it had affected others as well. I called back again and I was told it would be sent again this Wednesday. When I called Wednesday no one seemed to know what I was talking about and now every time I call I get different info, some saying that its sent, some say it its being reviewed. When I ask to speak to a supervisor I am told none are available and that one will call me. Its been several days and I have had no response. I was hoping to see if any had a similar experience or had any ideas of what to do next. It just seems like our case is lost in limbo. I was already told the case was not in AP so I have ruled that out. Has any else had any trouble with their case being sent to the consulate electronically?

That is happening to me. I called NVC this week they said it was sent electronically too. Emailed my embassy 3x, they said they dont have it and NVC is never correct about info. My status on ceac says ready since the 27th tho... idk what to do cause I alrrady scheduled my interview and im waiting for the embassy to tell me they received it so I can book hotel and flights to rio. Im really concerned and frustrated. What do you plan to do next?

My case just says at NVC in CEAC. How were you able to schedule an interview without your consulate having your case? Maybe our consulates work differently but it was my understanding that we couldnt schedule anything until the consulate contacted us. I understand your concern and frustration. I dont understand why NVC's own process is mysterious to them or why its so hard to give useful info. I am planning on writing my congressman. I have read other threads were people have had some success this way. I'm at a loss other than that.

Not in brazil, you have to have the email they send on the day of the interview.. so youre 100% sure your case is there. But you can schedule the interview after you have your NVC number, technically the website wont allow you if your case isnt there, but it did on my case. I scheduled it to the 21st, so its kinda far and I hope I have this figured out. My fiance is calling nvc right now to ask them better info, since i always get nervous on the phone with them and my english gets horrible. I will let you know if we find out smth.

oh and I only scheduled my interview after it changed to "ready" on ceac, which happened a week afger i had my number

That would be great, please do let me know. I was planning on calling later this evening as well. I put in a request yesterday to have a supervisor call me and have called back myself three times since then and still havent been able to talk to anyone who can tell me anything. Good luck.

Lo everyone. I’m a August filer and I’ve been a lurker here for quite a while. I share same sentiments with you guys. Me and my fiance will be celebrating our 10th year anniversary this February. We were hoping we could be together by that time but due to this backlogs happening I know it will be just a dream again. Been celebrating our anniversary apart for 9 years already 😭. He comes home every summer for only 3weeks every 2 years. Been in LDR since 2009. Sad story of our life. But everyday is a day closer for us to be together. So hang on guys! Everything is gonna be worth it. ❤️

I had the same email and when I contacted the consulate my case wasn't received… but I was able to schedule my interview with 6 days of it being 'ready' (and 4 emails later).

Have you been checking your CEAC visa status? If it says 'ready' it should be in MTL, but there is a possibility it hasn't been logged in the system..very slow consulate.

I have been checking the CEAC site, all it still says that it is "at NVC". Its confusing because at one point NVC told me there was an issue that they were aware of on their end, but now when I call they dont really say anything useful about it. Thanks for the tip though, I'll keep that in mind going forward.
