I'm sure there will be excuses for the difference in the pics, Patriots even tweeted that certain staff members were sat on the lawn instead of standing with the players this time for some reason.

You need to wait until the alternate facts are made public. LOL. They will make all sorts of excuse to prove the crowd this year was the largest ever. It was a total win!

Did Trump not take credit for the comeback win? How he alone inspired the efforts of the team and really should also be awarded with a ring?

You know... "I was shouting at the end of the game... you know... go guys you can do it, yes you can (scrap that don't quote me saying that!)... Yeah let's go, score that home run, shoot it from downtown"

If it wasn't for all this N Korea pesky business he would have won a green jacket too, he's had enough practice on the golf course hasn't he!

He did try to make it about himself. The part that made me laugh was when he quoted the coach who said that in the field there are no days off, and he segued into saying the same it true when you're making America great! Everyone around gasped, because this is the guy who enjoys 5-day weekends, and has no clue as to where our carriers are. I saw a statement of his where he referred to the Navy convoy as heading towards Korea, when they were in fact heading the opposite way. He is trying to get Alex Baldwin fired.

I honestly didn't watch any of the news in the teams visit and what he said, trust him to pivot the conversation to himself!

Good grief, is anyone who passes over the White House threshold ever allowed to have the limelight? How insecure are you if it always has to circle back to yourself.

As for the "armada" it is a bit of a storm in a teacup, they got the timing wrong (says a little about the administration organisation and communication lines). Ultimately it's heading there, just not when they said it was. The position they want to show is the strength of having a carrier there and that the US now means business.

Some say it diminishes the credibility of statements put out by the administration (basically... allies... don't trust us on what we say).

I wouldn't go as far as that.. just say we got the message wrong but it's all on track now, rather than Spicer coming out today stating the confusion is only because journalists did not ask the correct questions!

Heard nothing about the Baldwin front, I assume he's saying he's a bad actor and not funny etc etc

Expect Spicer to come out tomorrow to cite this is the largest group of NFL Superbowl winners to greet the president.... ever... period!

ps the pic at the top is when Obama was in office, the bottom pic is today's visit by the Patriots.

At least the onlookers seem to be about the same size eh!

kind of ironic that it's the patriots at the White House today (meeting the most unpatriotic president to sit in office)

Not that it matters, but I heard the President Obama photo included WH staff on the steps along the sides which seems plausible as an NFL team only has 50 some players.

I loved Gronk's interruption.

So, if you add 40-odd players, plus the coach, and the team staff, it does seem the 2015 picture shows larger attendance than the 2017 crowd. Not that is matters at all, of course.

I heard something like 30 players didn't attend for various reasons.  Personally I wouldn't care who was in the whitehouse, I'd just want to see it!

What surprised me most about the Trump-Brady thing is, Trump mentioned names of even third-string players in the ceremony but not a single reference to Brady?? If you suggest he didn't cite him because he wasn't there, well he cited Danny Amendola who wasn't there either. there was certainly some disappointment on Trump's side that Brady did not show up. I listen to Boston local sports radios on my commute regularly, everyone is pretty surprised he completely erased his name off the speech.

I do not understand how many cannot (not saying you) understand that two can live in marital harmony and vote differently.  My father is a conservative and my mother is a liberal, they support opposing hockey teams (Toronto and Montreal) they've had a happy marriage for about 40 years now

Everybody is different. I have no idea about the state of the Brady marriage. As far as I know…it's fine.  The guy goes to bed by 9pm every day. If she told him not to go….he probably figured it wasn't worth going.

They can live together in marital harmony. The "problem" arose when public statements were made. Gisele has a worldwide brand imagine that she protects.
