HELP PLEASE...Senator Office told us we are approved meanwhile we didn't receive anything from USCIS

Hi everybody,

We called our senator after waiting for almost 2 years for i-130 approval. Yesterday we got a call from the senator office, the lady from the senator office said that we are approved. so we've been keeping checking the USCIS but it still says "Case was Received" and we didn't receive any email or hear anything from USCIS even though we signed up for email notifications.

Might the senator office have gave us false information? Please help!

for some odd reason the USCIS have not been updated the case online but you should get a letter in couple of days. Keep checking the mail, usually takes around three business days.

So you saying it's normal for not seeing case was approved on the USCIS website?

Yes in recent cases that has happened so just wait couple of days.

We didn't get any text or email or update on their website, we didn't know until we got the actual notice in the mail. 

 

Have you tried calling uscis yourself to check on the status?

Wait, I see you sent your application on 2015? I think you case is taking way long!. Maybe you could try to call USCIS, menawhile you keep asking from senator's office help.

It is normal some people don't receive notifications, but you are almost 2 years, when receive NOA2 usually takes 4/6 months

Yes almost 2 years and we kept calling the USCIS we kept calling the senator we kept making appointments (infopass).

We hired a lawyer and called our senator after that USCIS asked for more evidence, even though we'd provided a lot of evidence to them and then we made an infopass appointment, the officer said that they would make a decision in less than 30 days, but we didn't really believe that though so we called the senator again and the senator office called USCIS and returned to us and told us that we got approved and the approval notice would take up to 10 days but we checked the mail next morning and FINALLY there we found it

Yes, that does sound very long. I have been waiting 7 months now
