I think currently it is more in the 11-13 months range. It's been a long while since they last approved ROCs in 8 months (which was around end of 2015 for people who filed in March 2015).

According to VJ timelines, only 3 out of 30 April 2016 have been approved.  Vermont is averaging at least 12 -13 months right now.  Some are hitting 11 months, but most of us have been waiting at least a year.

Get a passport stamp.

You have to make an infopass appointment at your local uscis , go with expired gc ,extension letter ,passport  and get your passport stamped that will give you another year until you get your physical 10 y gc in the mail

Got mine approved in March - it took 16 months. They are VERY behind right now. 8-12 months IMO is being very optimistic
