I can enjoy sarcasm and irony, but not the irony of you two having to be apart after going through this process, so best of luck with that! There has to be a way *fingers crossed*

Thank you kindly and most appreciated. I feel ungrateful because so many sweet and kind people are still waiting and my evil ### is like hurry this up.

Good job! Mine is still in transit. At beginning l thought electronic means that NVC will send my stuffs electronically. Now l realized it's likely still paper delivery. Did you receive packet 3 by email from consulate?

Nvc says they do both when sending the cases over. They electronically send the case and associated files in fax and use dhl to send it as well so they have the physical file. I'm guessing the in transit is for the electronic, but whomever is to log in the case once received hasn't done so yet. Just my thoughts given what Nvc said.

Hi all, just wondering about the required documents for the interview (thinking way ahead now lol). I've heard people saying that they are taking a full copy of the original packet they sent to USCIS (I-129F. G325A etc).

Is this required or are people doing this as an extra precaution?
I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on the London embassy website. Is this country specific?
Thanks in advance!

Hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend.

For London you have to have new letters of intent. The I-134, tax records of us citizen, letter from employer, (i think Govt workers can get away with using notification of personnel action) and at least two pay stubs. It helps to have proof that your relationship continued after you submitted your original packet, so new call logs and vacation photos and the like. From everything we've read London isn't that bad. The interviews tend to be short as well. Hope this helps and if I'm missing anything hopefully another U.K. filer can fill it in.

Also it helps to have information about the wedding and what will happen after the wedding. So contracts for catering or dj and/or both names on the lease. Stuff like that.

And don't forget the medical certificate

Thanks! So a copy of the original petition isnt necessary, at least for UK I guess.

I have all the documents you mentioned, as well as birth and police certificate, passport pics and of course my passport ^_^. Hopefully we are good to go when the time comes!
As for the wedding, we haven't planned a thing yet! We know we will be having a small ceremony with a few people, pretty low key. I want a big English wedding when I get my AP. Hopefully I can just explain this if it is brought up.

It's normal to be a bit selfish and focus on your particular case and situation. Specially in a case like yours. Don't feel bad about it :)

I'm stressing myself a lot lately with every small step and wait, just because I want things done at a certain pace and before certain dates. Worst that can happen is a few weeks delay, which is nothing considering how lucky (for a change) we've been so far... But yeah, one still can wish and hope.

Okay I'm panicking...my fiancé haven't receive the letter that describes our RFE..it was mailed out on 08-28..how many days does it take to mail it in the Midwest area?..as for what I know USPS can take 7-10 bds max TAT worst case scenario--take note worst case scenario and 3-5 bds min TAT..or KS was just transferred to another country and I didn't know about the news?! Sorry for the rant here but I needed to..

Don't panic yet, Faye :)

It's not a weird thing with USCIS that a letter takes a week to arrive to the mailbox. So if the RFE was mailed out on Tuesday, I think it's safe to think it might arrive Tuesday (even Wednesday with the holiday weekend) next week.

I know the uncertainty and waiting are awful, but this whole process is stressing enough, so, please, don't panic :) (I know... easy to say).

Thank you but I'm not a happy camper..I'm depressed and desperate to hold my love one before the holidays..I could say I could be at least healthier and at ease if we at least get to NOA2 status by mid-Sept..not to mention, it's already our official engagement anniversary on the 5th..

WOW  Y'all are getting chatty like the March filers - so many pages to catch up on :D

I spent how long reviewing who got approved and NVC progress and embassy progress..... NICE!

Congratulations to all of you!  Seriously  Congratulations!

Been really busy since Thursday, haven't been able to lurk here and see who has done what - until today. Many NOA2's.  @Estibaliz Nice Job!

For everyone waiting for NOA2, please please get your game plan in order.  Estibaliz is a good example of having done her research and knowing the processes after NOA2 and being ready to move forward.

You can't control the pace of uscis, but you can prepare a game plan for when it hits NVC and to move expeditiously as possible.  It really can move fast after NVC if you are ready.  So, be sure you are on your specific embassy website, have reviewed your requirements and how to get them scheduled and gathered.  Click on 'PORTALS' above and find others in your area and in your embassy to help you.

example, I had a schedule prepared - 'within 2 weeks of approval, get these documents.  After 2 weeks get this medical, get that scheduled, etc etc'

You cannot control uscis, but after NVC, remember - with proper planning, you can expedite yourself by being ready.

And very wise words. Actually, the waiting for the NOA2 gives us more than enough time to get ready, sadly enough... So why not making a good use of it, specially when it also helps during the wait, since at least you feel you are doing something?

In my particular case, I can't really speed things up that much, since I'm again stuck in a waiting, but at least I've done all that was in my hand... So I guess I can't ask myself for any better than that. I don't deal well with things out of my control, but oh well :P

Your embassy is specific to being on what we call in Florida...... "Island Time'   They are laid back and late for everything hahahaha     But an embassy like PH where there are so many beneficiaries, the status quo is self service - go and fetch kinda place lol  But you did very well in being proactive and pre-emptive.

I know, lol, bureaucracy here has that reputation, and I guess it's contagious.

Then I have to say I was a bureaucrat myself for a few years and I wasn't laid back at all :P Not that it made me any good, since I end up quitting due to anxiety and stress issues

Anyway, thanks again! We'll see if it pays off! *Fingers crossed*
