Received our case and invoice numbers today. Yippee.  My wife managed to get a lovely guy on the phone who helped her through the DS-261 and reviewed that on the spot.  Now I'll of course be obsessively checking to see when the first invoice is unlocked.

That's nice. Which agent did u choose? Cos me and my hubby are confused with that.

Yes but then they also said you may act as your own agent or you may choose your petitioner, a family member, friend, attorney, immigration professional, or any other person you trust. You may have an agent that represented you and the petitioner in the petition process with USCIS. However, you will need to formally select an agent to represent you for your visa processing. Here is where we are a bit confused. In the USCIS process we didn't choose an agent. Just got advice from one. So we are thinking if my hubby the petitioner has to be his own agent or get someone. Just want to know the right thing to do. Thanks.

My wife is being the agent as she is the USC. It's just easier that way.

I just received welcome email from NVC, subject title "MTL######### (ACL FOR WWRO - 10AUG2016)"

The welcome email one my husband received on Apr 10 subject line " MTL######### (PAOSF I-130 FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)(CC) "

What does the ACL for WWRO mean and why is it dated 10AUG2016???

Does all applicant receive the similar welcome email?

The DS-261 shows COMPLETED and AOS fee shows PAID.

IV fee still not unlocked... I called yesterday in hopes of having someone review and possible unlock the IV fee for me, but the gentlemen said it'll take 3 weeks.

Mine has 10AUG2016 on it too and have no idea what it all means.

1) [ACL for WWRO] Choice of address and agent form
2) [PAOSF I-130 FOR NEOPOST DS-1200] Instructions to submit AOS Processinf Fee

Not sure about the date.  I simply ignored it and yes, we all receive similar emails.  It's basically your welcome letter.

My IV fee was paid by my bank already and still not unlocked also :(  Going to call today as well.  Did you call them to review the DS 261?  That starts the IV unlock process and takes about a week.

So my case status says submit documents but those were submitted last week, nvc confirmed that my scan date was April 11, when does my case status change?

It will stay as that status until you get case complete (11 weeks is their current timeframe), then it changes to "at nvc". Basically they scan in the front cover but until someone sits there and reviews all your docUments they won't change the status

Got married: 26th Sep 2013

I-130 Petition Process:

Sent petition to USCIS Chicago lockbox (via in-laws to put check in US$): 11 Mar, 2016

NOA1: 24 Mar, 2016 (email notification 30 Mar. Hardcopy 11 Apr)

Service Centre: NEBRASKA

NOA2: 3rd Aug 2016

Petition sent to NVC: 18th Aug 2016

NVC Stage

Case number assigned: 8th Sep 2016

Paid AOS Fee: 9th Sep 2016

Paid IV Fee: 14th Sep 2016

DS-260 submitted: 25th Jan 2017

AOS & IV Package sent: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite requested: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite approved (consulate only): 1st Feb 2017

Scan Date: 31st Jan 2017

Case Complete: 14th April 2017 (10 weeks 4 days)

Full expedite approved (bypass NVC to send file to embassy), however too late as I already had case complete 17th Apr 2017

Case arrived at Embassy: 21st April 2017

P4 letter received: 26th April 2017 (expedite at embassy stage so this came from the consulate, not NVC)

Medical date: 26th April 2017

Interview date: 4th May 2017 APPROVED!!

Visa received: 8th May 2017

POE (entered the USA): 15th May 2017
