K1 Interview disappeared from Embassy Schedule

Hey, my fiancee is supposed to have her interview tomorrow and she noticed that her interview is no longer showing on the schedule for Bangkok in March, while 5 other interviews do show on the list still for tomorrow. Additionally, she can no longer access her GSS receipt anymore either. I'm a bitb worried that for some reason there is a glitch and her interview was cancelled without her being notified. I guess at this point, all she can do is show up, but I wanted to know if this has ever happened to anyone else before?

I'd just show up with evidence that the interview was definitely scheduled tomorrow.

Exactly as above. I am sure it has happened to some people; but most important thing is to go to the interview as planned with all documents.

 

Better show up and not be seen than be a no show.

Yeah that's what we plan. Thankfully, she printed out the GSS receipt right after receiving it. So she has all of her paperwork, but I'm going to be really frustrated (for a large number of personal reasons) if they won't let her interview tomorrow.

I was told by a friend when her brother's wife went to interview in West Africa (I've forgotten the country) the entire computer system at the embassy shut down two days before. When it restored some interviews were cancelled and some were restored. Hers was cancelled by had all the documentation of when her interview was. It took some extra time at the embassy but eventually she was interviewed that day (and passed). 

 

I think as long as your fiance has all the right papers she will get in. I assume if it was truly cancelled/rescheduled there would have been a notification. Fingers crossed for you!

Keep your head up! I've also heard, unfortunately, that some embassies have more glitches and bumps than others. I was introduced to a friend of a friend, who happened to be an immigration attorney. When I told her we went through the Ethiopian Embassy she gave me the biggest eye roll I've ever seen and said it's one of the most problematic embassies she's ever seen. We made it through though! So she showed up, was let in, presented her paperwork answered that woman's questions, then waited for four hours. At the end of the four hours she gets called for her interview, but it's not the interview. They basically made her wait for four hours to tell her: because she is from Vietnam, they are going to independently verify all of her Vietnamese Government documents. They have no timeframe for how long this will take, won't say if they have even started and won't do an interview until it is complete. They won't even give an estimate on how long it might take. So as of right now, we are stuck. Quite depressing news, not as bad as a denial but the open-endedness makes it very frustrating. Doubly so if you know the snail's pace the Vietnam government works at (it took over a month just to get the police record).
