You think I give a ####### about the constitutional issue of killing someone when my children are at stake? No I don't care about that or murder charges. Sorry, but keep a fully loaded Glock 22 in my house just for ensuring the safety of my family and my AK-47 is near it that just needs a magazine inserted to make it fully loaded. Just like the father in Texas who caught a guy raping his daughter and beat him to death, and he got away with no charges. By your picture you are a father yourself so I would bet you do the same for your family.

I am not debating your point besides the murder charge because you made a good point. I just want to see if this town still goes along with the plan of being a sanctuary town now.

I'm going to say good for you, I respect that.  I didn't grow up in gun culture and really don't get it.  Personally, i would likely accidentally shoot myself in the foot or something.  Husband wanted to buy me a taser or mace, I'm too afraid itd end up on me instead

Honestly my wife was like you as well when she first got here. When I got my brought our first gun(pistol) in the house, she was thinking ok that's it we won't get anymore. Then later on when I went out and bought my AK-47 she was LIVID and wanted to sell both of them if not kill me with one of them, either way worked for her at the time. But now I have since added two more to the collection, but those are a hunting shotgun and a .22 rifle for a even four in the house now. I actually took them out to clean last week and for her to practice loading/unloading. She had absolutely no problem with it except for her getting frustrated that I make her practice so much. So now I have started teach my third year old who is my third child(I have four kids) basic gun safety. If a child knows at least basic gun safety they are far less likely to have an accident.

Perhaps someday.  I just couldn't picture myself being an always packing girl.  Good to know though

The thing is that I don't always pack due to where we live at (Los Angeles County CA) which is a very crappy county and state to get a CCW from. When the last sheriff was in office(he just got convicted for lying to the FBI) it was a known secret that you could give some money to his reelection campaign in order to get a CCW. While other counties like SD and Orange County you can at least get one being a regular person.

But anyway sorry to get off track. We don't wear it around the house or the grocery store, but the pistol always has a magazine in it that just needs to be cocked in order for it to be loaded and shot. So I make my wife practice taking it out of the special holster, and cocking it. I did the same thing with my AK-47.
