The only reason Trump would not want to release his tax returns is that he has something to hide.  My feeling it is the embarrassment over not being what he claims to be; Gods gift to the business world.  

 

He paid 38 Million in taxes on 152.7 Million in taxes.  He claims a net worth of 10 Billion dollars.  If that were true he would have a return on assets of 1.52% for 2005 ( not counting the negative income because we dont know for sure where that comes from, if it is a real loss than his ROA is terrible). A five year certificate of deposit in 2005 would have yielded 2.45 annually meaning my Aunt with her conservative  corporate bonds  beat Trump in 2005 by 2 to 3 X.

 

If we use the more realistic estimate of his wealth of 3 billion he returns a more respectable 5 %, but still did not beat my Aunt that year.

 

So either Trump is a liar or he is not really  that great of businessman.

Yes I understand that concept, you divide one into the other to get a % return value.  Don't they teach economics in America?

1 year is hardly a barometer and you can't tell anything about his net worth from his 1 year personal income
