My fiancee and I submitted plane boarding passes, a written statement with loose details and dates and loads of photographic evidence and receipts.

My interview officer mentioned our photos together, so I feel those had one of the larger impacts.

Hi mochii! regarding your question about chat logs, we just picked out conversations that proves we are "normal" genuine lovers... actually, there were only four pages of chat logs that I had with me during the interview, and on each page it contained 9 screenshots of our conversation.. I tried to make it a point to include the beginning, in between and the most recent conversation we had since we met each other online... so they will see the date and the duration of everything... I also included a screenshot of the duration of our voice calls and video chat from different apps..the other 5 pages (which has 12 pictures on each page) are our pictures when we're together. we also included our hotel bookings, flight tickets, engagement ring receipt (if you have still have a copy)..but take note that the copy of hotel bookings and flight tickets i had with me were incomplete..like, we only had a copy of one way ticket, or we only had one hotel booking copy though we've been to several one's..

My k1 visa was approved in less than 4 months. :)

I was hoping to get the beginning of our chats since we met each other online too but like I said, it all got lost :( I currently only have recent ones. We still have a lot of time to collect more proof since we won't be filing for K-1 till like maybe 3-5 years from now (still poor fresh grads) but do you think it matters if I don't include the beginning of our chat?

Thanks for the reply :) I'll be sure to collect all the hotel bookings/flight tickets and ask him to keep the receipt if he ever decides to buy me ring.

It doesn't matter if you can't find the conversation from the very start... you still have plenty of time in 3 years span to take more screenshots of your conversation. :)  our actually was just in a span of 3 months and then he petitioned me for k1 visa. :)

I actually lost some of our conversations, too, good thing my partner has his own copy in his phone. it's a two-way conversation so thought I lost our conversation in my account, he has his own. :) I hope this helps, Mochii. :)

To address the chat log issue in this topic, saving chat logs should never be enough. Regularly download the chat logs, save them to an external source and email them to yourself and your fiancé.

In many ways, you are also starting over with evidence. Work double time on sending chats via (your favorite messenger). I would also encourage you to email each other once a day (in addition to chats). This will double-up your communication efforts with little effort. Discuss things like your past trips together and your plans for the future.

I sent it by DHL. I sent it on a Friday, and it arrived on Tuesday. I think the cost was $54

Postal service in the Philippines is not very dependable.

You might check with others from Jamaica to find the best way to send.

@Rick & Apple can't one send it via e mail instead? does the embassy demand the originals?

Yes the I-134 can be emailed. At the time I sent the documents to my then fiance, a wet signature was required. USCIS changed the policy Feb. 15, 2018

The Department of State is not bound by any USCIS policy.   Some consuls may have changed there local requirements,  many have not

YMMV

@KyleB22   this is correct. You should check the South Africa forum to see what the requirements are.

After the interview at the embassy, we have only dealt with USCIS. In my previous reply, I forgot that it is State Department.
