You can start preparing the I-134 and tax returns transcripts, letter from employer and paystubs, letter of intent along with a copy of the I-129F to mail to your beneficiary.

On her end, it's best that she waits till the embassy has her case file and she's almost finished gathering the required documents before scheduling an interview and medical. She can get her police certificate, divorce decree (if applicable), any required Thai documents translated etc beforehand. She'll also need to have evidence of relationship with her as she'll need to bring them to the interview. If she wants to submit the DS-160 and pay the fee first, that's fine too since the payment made is valid for a year.

Here's the Thai US embassy Packet 3 and Packet 4 info: https://th.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/packets/

Thanks for the information. Can you tell me what "ready" means as a status for NVC?

That's the lockbox, not the service center. Yes, you send CSC stuff to the Texas lockbox, but that's not a transfer.

There's also a service center in Texas, I thought you were referring to actually having a case transfered from there,

and not the lockbox address. A whole bunch of K1s got transferred from TSC and VSC to CSC late last year and earlier

this year.

Highly doubt they were transferred. They were most likely routed

as of March 2015, all i129f petitions have been routed and adjudicated at csc. Maybe a few odd cases were routed to some other service center, but very unlikely

vsc Hasn't dealt with i129f in a very long time

OK in that case, it's just routing, and that shouldn't add any delay to your case at all.

The NOA1 happens after the case is at the CSC, so the lockbox is in the past.

It means the case file is already at the embassy. If you guys want fast, she can attempt to contact them to inquire about Packet 3. She'll be able to get the ball rolling whether they e-mail her the Packet 3 or redirect her to the link that I found. All the best to the both of you :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

From Canada here as well - same NOA1 date, no NOA2 yet. Hopefully in the next week or so! *fingers crossed*

NOA1 date of March 29, hoping for NOA2 this week also. Anyone know why it seems to have slowed down so much?

There's no official news on why, however when I was researching delays at the CSC a couple things came up.

One, in early April the CSC stopped accepting expedite requests on H1 visas claiming it was due to excessive backlog -- so we know they had too much backlog.

Two, the H1B visa lottery opened on 4/3 and completed on 4/7, and there were 199,000 petitions submitted for 65,000 visa slots (plus another 20,000 slots) so between the existing backlog and that, my bet is CSC put more people on the H1 visas and less on the K1 visas.

This doesn't explain why it is so much longer than it was last year, but perhaps staffing levels are different now.
