I went today to my infopass app, and they also told me that my case was in California, I told him that I had an update saying that my case was in my local office, he said nop still in California, I tried to get the stamp for the extension and they told me that i have to do it 3 months before my Green card expiration date. So I will have to come back in june again. No good news here. I wish all the best luck

My Infopass appointment at the Portland USCIS office was on 3/20/2018 as my extension is set to expire June 2018. I was able to get an I-1551 stamp for another year until March 2018. I explained to them that I have to travel for work internationally in the next couple of months that would require me to get travel visas (e.g. Europe). As to not encounter any problems when applying for said visas, the officer gave me a stamp valid for another year as they do not expect the I-751 anytime soon.

Interesting observation. I registered on both the DHS site and the USICS site. I recently replied to an RFE I received a couple of weeks ago. The DHS site acknowledged that they received my response to the RFE while USICS has status hasn't changed.

So to everyone that haven't tried DHS, I would suggest you sign up since they provide more accurate and frequent updates than USICS.

How do you register on the DHS site?  I am just signed up for the USCIS site.

I finally got a letter from USCIS, but unfortunately not the much anticipated approval, but a RFE...

I really don't know what else I can send them in terms of evidence for a bonafide marriage!

They included a list of things, but we already sent them almost everything on that list (joint checking and savings account, life insurance, joint health insurance accounts, tax returns, and affidavits, ...). We don't have any children together, so that's not an option and we still haven't gotten wills (which I know we should have), but if we do it now, it would probably look really suspicious. We did purchase a new house after I had already submitted my paperwork, so I can send them the joint mortgage and updated utility bills, but other than that, I really don't know what else I could submit. Any suggestions?

So what do they want? If you are already sent all they are asking for, unless they want it more in detail? For us they wanted to see a mortgage or utility bills, we explained this in a letter why we don't have it and one family member explained it too in an affidavit. You should definitely send the joint mortgage and updated bills and explain in a letter that you guys recently bought a house after all the paperwork. I'm sure that will help.

I will definitely send them the new mortgage and utility bills, as well as updated statements from out joint bank accounts, but other than that I am really not sure what else I could send them. Thank you!

I would like to think that the newly posted 12 to 15.5 month estimate applies more to those who are just now submitting their I-751 to USCIS, during 2018; and, not to those of us who sent in our applications a year ago.

My green card ran out in June 2016 and in the Phoenix, Az, they did not accept the one year extention letter so I had to get a i-551 stamp in my passport.

I may need to jet off abroad in may so I need another stamp in my passport. When I go to my info pass appointment, thats what I intend to get and any news they may care to render.😐

Someone in the April 2017 thread was approved--NOA 1 4/7/17.

Hoping we all hear something soon if they're a week out after March 2017!

If your passport has expired or about to expire you still can get the I-551 stamp. You would need to bring passport size photos along with the documentation of identification.

Get your new passport and get the I-551 stamp without question.
