Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Yes, I imagine... I am just getting nervous because it has been almost a year since I submitted the AOS and the EAD wiill expired in late june.

If you apply for the renewal within 90 days of your expiration date your EAD will be automatically extended for 180 days from the expiration date now. The NOA for the extension application together with your expired EAD serves as proof.

Oh that is a good point! I didn't know it! Let's see what they tell me on Monday and from there, I will proceed. Stay tuned!

So I have some updates. We went to USCIS in Boston today to have more information regarding our AOS, since we applied almost 1 year ago.

Apparently they finished my background check at the end of December 2016, and I am not schedule for an interview yet, or it could be that we won’t even have an interview. This is what they told us, although they also suggest applying for an EAD/AP renewal because at the end of this month I will be in those 90 days I can apply before my card expires.

At least it's a little relief to know that my AOS is moving, slowly but surely. Hopefully more good news will come soon!

Yes, that is what I thought and what I read. I specifically asked the guy who was attending us, but he said within 90 days before it expires.

Hi all again, 

 

I am still in the same situation, my AOS is pending since April 2016 and I have to go later this week for another biometric appointment for my EAD/AP renewal. 

 

This is what I have received from USICS on March:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case.  USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing.

 

I've also contacted the Congressman for my district, but nothing so far... I don't know what to do, I am so so so frustrated... hope this waiting process is over sooner rather than later...
