No news on our end either. My kids need to go visit their dad as per the custody arrangements and they can't leave until their APs are approved. We're waiting on them to buy tickets. The backlog could affect that - the longer they take to approve, the longer it will take for us to book their trip. Part of me is hoping that because my AOS is done and over with that theirs will be approved fast, but we just don't know. They're not in any rush to leave the US so a delay won't bother them but still...

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

Quick update on my case.

My paperwork was returned to me, I had an error on my I-485. I corrected it and re-sent all the document back to Chicago Lockbox (this time I added "Chicago Lockbox" ;)). I really hope they checked all the other documents as well (they all had prints at the bottom of the page, so I assumed they did), so everything should be fine now. Since my work permit expires on May 19 and there's not chance of them  processing it on time under normal circumstances I attached a latter with the request to expedite my EAD application. I based my request on the fact that my husband just lost his job and my income is the only one for our hausohold. Also I mentioned I work for a non-profit organization and recently got promoted, so it would be not only hard for me and my husband, but also for the company I work for to wait through the time of my not having the EAD

I was very upset yesterday evening when I found the package in mail, but maybe it was an opportunity for me to add the letter for the EAD to be expedited? I don't know. Keep your fingers crossed for me, and those of you that do pray- please keep me in your prayers. I could really use any help I can get right now ;)

Package re-sent 03/25

Expected delivery 03/27

Once again, good luck everyone!

Hi guys,

I'm adjusting my status from F-1 Visa. I sent out our package on 3/15, and it was delivered on 3/16. It's been 9 days, and I haven't heard from USCIS yet. I've browsed through the thread, and I've seen a lot of you waited for 2 weeks or even more than 20 days for the texts/messages. So I'll be patient waiting for mine.

I hope everything will be alright for all of us!

11/15/2012 - Officially dated my husband

11/30/2015 - Got married

You will hear from USCIS soon. If not, you can call them after 30 days and ask about your status.

Hi Everyone,

I just sent my package on 3/15 delivered on 3/16 noon at Chicago lockbox. Just realized that I made wrong name on check to USCIS instead DHS. I have read cases in the past and talked to couple lawyers about this situation. They said either they cash it or send whole package back to me. I wish everything go well and fast. Bc I have to go back to my country late June to visit my family. I wish combo card come to my address before I go to my country. It's been 10days since they signed picked up my package. If they return my whole package back I might resend them after I come back from my home country. Bc my working visa expired next year.

Wish everything is ok for us.

As of right now it can take 3 to 4 months until you receive the Advanced Parole.

The check is always written to Department of Homeland Security, not DHS.

If they check your application and they see that something is missing or that they need additional documents, they can be fast with sending out an RFE.

It's more than likely an RFIE, not a regular RFE that you get when your paperwork is actually being worked on.

RFIE = Requiring further initial evidence. Something in your AOS packet is missing that should have been there.

Yes it's a Request for Initial Evidence. Weird because I followed the guide to a "T" regarding paperwork to be submitted ...the only thing I can think of is a certified marriage license instead of the copy.

Did you send in 2016's tax return? That's another one I can think of right now.
