So it is a big problem, or it isn't a big problem? Are European countries really in trouble due to refugees, or is that mostly and attempt by Trump to justify his ban? 

 I'm seriously fighting the need to stay in bed, eating cookies and trying to forget about the world.

the articles about the rock throwing and car burning in sweden on monday night, none of them actually report that immigrants or refugees were the culprit of the rock throwing or car burning. not even the op makes that claim definitively. the failing ny times posted a piece entitled "Clashes in Stockholm Suburb Draw Attention to Trump’s Remarks" and i think that's a pretty accurate assessment of what's going on. i've yet to see anything factual showing an increase in crime in sweden from refugees/immigrants - no matter how many times it is pointed out that the town who suffered the rock throwing/car burning is heavily populated by immigrants.

Asked whether there was enough of a police presence in Rinkeby, Mr. Bystrom cited the district police chief, Niklas Andersson, in describing police resources in the area as plentiful. But Mr. Bystrom also said that officials would continue to bolster security.

Patrik Derk, the district director for Rinkeby-Kista, the northernmost of the boroughs that make up the municipality of Stockholm, said it would be a mistake to see proof of Mr. Trump’s claims in the unrest.

“This type of problem exists in most countries, even in the U.S.A.,” he said in a phone interview. “And we are managing these problems and will succeed with this. They’re complex problems.”

"Police were investigating three cases of violent rioting, assaulting a police officer, two assaults, vandalism and aggravated thefts, he said. "

Is this what the President was so worried about?  I think he could have found this much crime 5 blocks from the Whitehouse

I know it's not the same, but Mexico has always had a bad rep for being a dangerous, drug lord-controlled country, and a lot of it has to do with how media portrays it. Sure, there are bad neighborhoods everywhere and we do struggle with drug related crime, but it's not the mayhem they show on the news. I believe the same thing is happening right now. Anything can be twisted to look horrible. I wish the news actually were less ''sensationalistic'' in general.
