NOA1: Feb 7, 2017

NOA2: May 10, 2017 (my fiance just received hard copy letter in the mailbox today - May 16, 2017)
(looks like the tracking status/app is still broken, is not reflecting the updates for my case)

The VJ timeline seems pretty accurate for my case, as it had 'predicted' I should be receiving NOA2/approval this week - and it arrived.

To the February filers (especially those with NOA1 after mine), just sit tight and don't stress out over it too much. It will come - it is just a matter of time. Remember that there are still filers from November 2016 that have not gotten theirs, so let's be thankful that a lot of us February filers have gotten ours and that our files are being worked on.

It is still a bit of a wait to the finish line (when my feet steps outside the US airport :D) so let's all give one another support through the rest of the process. Thanks to all the people who provided the daily scans, stats, and any helpful information (too many names to be tagged) - I hadn't chimed in much on here but I have been silently thanking you from behind the screen

woo~Congratulations!! your words does cheer me up! my case is one day after yours, hopefully I will receive the hardcopy as the estimated time in VJ.Thanks for your information!

I have been looking for positives to the broken online checker situation and I think I found one. It's a stretch, but I will take what I can get. The mail runs on Saturday here. This means it gives me one extra day of hope each week (checking the mail). When the status checker worked, if there wasn't an approval by Friday night, it was a 2-day wait until Monday, for another shot at NOA2. :)

Hey Everyone,

Just back from an 8 day visit to the UK for work which had the added benefit of getting to see my fiance as well :)

It's exciting to come back to see that they have started to push through further into February.  While I still have a few weeks to wait based upon the projection of my timeline, it's a good feeling to know that hopefully it's now only a few weeks wait for NOA2 instead of the few months wait from when I first sent it in.

Saying goodbye to my fiance this time was more difficult than usual.  It's always been hard but this time we knew that we wouldn't see each other again until I come back to the UK after he has his Visa to accompany him back to the states.  I know many members here wait even longer in seeing their fiance and realize I've been very lucky.  Between a vacation trip in November, and traveling to the UK for work in January, March, and May, we've gotten used to the pattern of getting to see each other every other month.  Now, with no work trip coming up any time soon, and needing to put aside money for the flights when he comes and to start the AOS later this year which means no vacation trips either, it stung a bit more to say goodbye this time.  However, it felt good to know that this time was the last time that we would have to say goodbye like this and that, hopefully, in 4 months I'll be back in the UK to bring him to the States permanently.

I do really appreciate your positive spin on it :).  For me though it so frustrating that we have to basically turn back the clock on technology.  I mean the fact that we should be able to know our case is approved the same day it happens and not have to wait possibly a week for snail mail is so infuriating to me. I know it is petty of me, but it is 2017 come on USCIS!!

AND snail mail is not 100% guaranteed. These notices should be sent by courier at the cost we all pay for this process. It's the least the US government could do.. or allow us to pay for it to be Fed Exed/DHL mailed.

Yes. I have rage issues with this sometimes because I can't stand inefficiency in general, then, add their seemingly lackadaisical attitude to it and it's taken to a whole new level. I wrote to my congressman last night, not to speed up my case, but to just point out the fact that I can't check my status online, etc. Very annoying people/system USCIS has.
