i have read somewhere in the other month's groups that nov was about 4500 and december at 4000 cases so this is lesser. but i do not know what the monthly average is though, it could very well be that previous months were lower on average and what we are seeing for nov-feb *could* actually be on the higher end of the spectrum. somebody also commented that there was an unusually high surge of applications in nov-dec with people trying to beat the increase in fees plus uncertainty with the new trump administration. and then you have the people who planned to submit their petitions in nov-dec but did not make it in time or those ones who submitted it but had to refile due to their first submission being rejected for sending incorrect fees - these people could be driving the numbers up for jan and feb.

oh! just saw data from @AkesAngel Jan scan - it seems that are only 2,627 Jan cases. so the good news is, we can expect some faster turn-around hopefully once they reach the Jan lot. the bad news - it'll probably slow down again once they get to the Feb lot!

Hey February ppl,

Yes Nov/ Dec were a lot of cases, but if I'm right the average per month is about 4200 cases. I'll have to check the Jan cases again this weekend as a few messaged me for missing numbers and it seems there are missed cases for the time frame til Jan 9th.

But whatever will happen - don't lose hope and be patient, its worth it in the end!

Im not sure what is embassy specific (In canada you can download a checklist), but I ordered my long form birth certificate, am making sure my vaccines are up to date, made photocopies of my biographic passport page and birth certificate.  I am going to get my police record done once I get my NOA2 I think since in Canada you get it quite quick. I also went online and practice filled out my DS-160 to make sure I have all the info required.  It saves there for a month but I think I read you could save it to your computer (I didn't try yet).  You can also download the form for support and get an idea of what is needed for that (although wait for NOA2 to start gathering).  I am going to have a small sample of.evodence for my relationship, but apparently it is very rarely asked for in Canada.

Just wondering, for the I-134 ( I re-read the instructions ) it says:

If a question does not apply to you type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed.

If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed.

Like at least 60% does not apply to us. No children, no dependents, no interpreter/preparer.

Am I suppose to be putting N/A in like... every single line? Or just the first line per section? May be a stupid question, but don't want to fill it out incorrectly.

@eastcoastgroove quoted you because I know you also started filling out the form

I'm not sure if this is the correct answer, but I would probably put none in each specific area where it asks about income/ assets/ real estate (ie I can fill out my fiance's annual income and how much he has in the bank) but other wise everything else is none.  For the part about children and dependents, I will likely just put one in the first box of each section (it specifically tells you to as you go along).  I have alot of blanks as well.

I would just like to say this is an absolutely wonderful, and useful resource... Thank you for all your help... Eventhough the wait is far from over, it is an optimistic feeling to see our case number in one of these uploads.

Hello All,

Thank you to everyone who contributes here to Visajourey and especially the timelines. Being able to get an approximatation on the process and seeing the progress of others makes this all the more bearable. If you haven't contributed your dates already, please do!! It brings a sence of certancy as we all wait for K1's. I have been keeping a close eye on the the CSC queue. Looks like they have finally gotten through the burst of December filers. In the meanwhile, my fiance and I continue to deepen our relationship as we plan for our ceremony, wedding life, and work through the more difficult subjects of international marriage. We have also been fortunate enough to visit each other regularly. We even befriended other international couples IRL who have gone through this process as well. Cheers!

http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Argentina.  Here are some embassy reviews, click on the reviewers timelines to see how long it took for them.  There is probably a country specific page for Argentina you could join as well to ask for more recent times.

Hi everyone!

So, I am migrating over to the February filers. I originally filed on January 25ish BUT in my haste to make sure everything was perfect, I literally forgot to sign the darn application -_- They sent it back as a rejection (womp womp) but the person who reviewed my file was kind enough to include a note saying it happens more than one would think and put a little sign here sticker with a laughing face on it. At least someone has a sense of humor over at the USCIS office lol. I sent it back that very same day. New NOA1 date is 2/14/2017 <3 Let's hope that time flies.

All the best!

Taylor

Hello,

Just curious, what happen when they reject it for those reasons? When you send it back do you need to pay the fee again?

So sorry for the loss of time and good luck!

I am still in the process myself, we had a lawyer for this first portion, but when we get married we are thinking about going without (it gets expensive) and well I am freaking out about making a mistake and paying twice.

Thank you,

PR

Just have to get through the work day and then picking up my fiance from the airport to stay for a month!!! Hopefully he will be back in perfect time for the embassy interview and this visa process hurries along. Can't wait to not have to rely on these few-and-far-between visits! ????

My fiancé and I have submitted and since then I thought I was at high chance to get rejected if I tried coming to the US. Was your fiancé visiting you in the US and did he have any trouble getting in given he has an immigration request pending?

I may be able to tell you that in 2.5 weeks. So waiting to see my fiancè again. Best way to get an easy entry, even with a filed petition, should be to make sure that you're planning to go back. I'll have a letter from my employer and from my mom (she cares for my daughter when I'm there), both will say that I'm expected to be back at date. Hope that will be enough to make it eaasier.

I hope for you! I am a student, with a student job. So yeah not sure that qualifies. Oh well, let's hope the process speed up. I actually filed in January, but I found that conversation in any thread can sometimes be helpful so I jumped on some threads here.
