I have received my NOA1 with one year extension. However, I'm at a situation.. Please hear me out.

 

Country of Birth: Pakistan (I haven't revoked its citizenship)

Country of Citizenship: Canada (that also issued my last passport that's valid and the only passport I use for travelling).

 

In all my previous forms with USCIS, I had mentioned country of birth as Pakistan and country of citizenship as Canada. No issues occurred.

I did the same for the I-751 form without realizing that I-751 is a form that does ask us to fill all the citizenships.

 

What do you folks suggest I should do. 1) sit tight and keep the ball rolling; or 2) before I get biometric or anything send in a letter explaning that I forgot(?) or I realized(?) it later that I had to put in all the countries I'm citizen of.

 

Please be aware that I already filed my I-751 late :( because another mix-up with the dates that I have explained in first few pages of this thread.

 

Any timely guidance would be very crucial. Thanks a lot.

I have news I want to share with you guys first. Today I went to my mail box about five minutes ago and there was an approval letter dated 20 Feb from the Vermont center/centre.

Just got a response from a Lawyer. Keeping this question and his answer here if it helps other people as well:

I don't think it matters, but if it's really bugging you you can send a letter with the receipt notice and labeled "AMENDMENT TO FORM I-751."  Put the page, part, and question number and state in addition to Canada you are also a citizen of Pakistan.

03.18.2020 Went to appointment, but USCIS closed all offices this day. Sign said USCIS will contact me to re-schedule. 

09.05.2020 Re-scheduled Biometrics Appointment letter sent for 09/22/2020 USCIS Bronx. 

09.22.2020 Went to appointment, took biometrics. Walk out in less than 5 mins. 

03.06.2021 Online Notification of Interview Scheduled. 

03.08.2021 Online Letter available Interview Scheduled for 04/15/2021.

hi everyone,

 

i am also planning to send my application this Feb as my conditional GC will expire this May 7 so I am currently on getting all docs together. I have a question tho, about the payment... do we need to make 2 checks( $595 and biometrics $85) or just one check combining both? Thank you!

Yes, I suspect that it may not matter because I sent two separate checks, this time with I-751 and last time with the I-485 and didn't have an issue either time.

Hello!!! I have great news! It looks like despite the fact that my I-751 arrived on Saturday at VSC instead of Monday it was not rejected! Praise God! This morning the checks are being processed, so I suspect that the NOA will be in the mail box before the weekend !!! So excited and relieved !!! Has this happened to anyone else, where the checks are processed first?

16 March 2017: Biometrics completed

08 March 2018: Case (allegedly) transferred to the National Benefits Center (presumably for a combo interview)

04 April 2019: ROC approved (as part of N-400 combo interview)

N-400

18 February 2018: N-400 Application submitted online

21 February 2018: NOA1 Rreceived

23 February 2018: Biometrics appointment letter received. Appointment 13 March 2018. 

27 April 2018: Interview notice received. Interview Date: June 5, 2018. Request to reschedule sent as out of the country at that time.

04 April 2019: Attended interview ... PASSED!

11 April 2019: Oath ceremony

I think they always cash the check first followed by NOA.

 

They make sure the form is filled up correctly with no errors. Same with the check. If the both looks good, they cash the check.

 

Once the check is cleared by the bank, they send the NOA.
