How long did it take them to respond to your service request? Mine was submitted almost 7 weeks ago and still isn't even assigned to anyone yet.

Today i received the response from USCIS to my Application:

Your application is pending Officer Review. We will forward this inquiry to the Officer.

It doesn't sound helpful but maybe the inquiry will speed it up a little, maybe not.

Interview is on November 1st, do we need to bring copies of anything that was sent in with the initial application? Also my wife got a new Canadian passport over the summer and we can't find the old one with her K1 visa, is that going to be an issue?

Just spoke to another Tier 2 officer because my service request still hasn't been assigned to someone after 7 weeks. The guy really wasn't friendly, but did say that my case was transferred to the NYC office two weeks ago. Very lame, that means I will almost certainly have an interview and NYC is super slow. Guess the waiting game has really just began for me.

Hello fellow VJers,

Today was my husbands interview. It went well. No questions asked to us. However, we received an RFE for his medical. He did his medical last December 2016. It was not because it was expired but because the doctor in Jamaica failed to text him for Ganarhea and syphullus. The interviewer said that I can come back and drop off the exam once it's completed back to him to just ask for him at the front desk. We went to a civil surgeon and they wanted $475 for the exam because he doesn't have a record about his medical. All he had was the medical.  I thought that price was a bit too steep

any advise ?
