My fiance works at the airport and is studying to be an airplane mechanic. I'll ask him if he can help your fiance get a job there. :D

Anyway, if he's currently not working, then are you going to get a sponsor?

You are very sweet!  It is okay, my fiance should be getting a job pretty quickly once he finishes his program.

We are hoping not to use a sponsor. I won't schedule an interview until he starts a new job. BTW, he lives very close to LAX ;-)

Pleased to report that we FINALLY have our case number! I called this morning and they didn't have it, but we spoke to the same agent just now who confirmed our number. At long, long last. CC: @eastcoastgroove

Congratulation to you! I just called and got the case number as well! We finally getting closer and closer! Good job to all of us!

We had similar problems and frustrations.  Felt like every time we called the NVC we got a different answer, anything from "I can see we have your case, but we don't have a number" to "It doesn't look like we have your case".  We did FINALLY get it pushed through.  After we hit the 30 day mark from receiving the NOA2, I followed the instructions on the NOA2 that say to email the NVC if you don't hear from them. My fiancé also called, and when told that he should wait two weeks after it's received by the NVC, he pointed out it has been more than two weeks (NVC received our case on May 24th). Once he pointed that out, he was routed to a manager, who then told him they found our case and are working on it (or something to that affect). When I called later that evening, the lady first told me she couldn't see my case was received (minor panic attack on my part), and then said, "Oh wait, here it is! Oh yes, looks like it was received May 24th and was last touched at 6:45 pm today". A few days later, I got an email from the NVC with all of our information including the revered RDJ Number. Just today (a week later) we received an email from the embassy with our packet 3 and interview scheduling information.

So...things do move fairly quick once they start moving again, keep courage!

I hope this information helps!  I would recommend following the instructions in the NOA2 and emailing the NVC, and also maybe next time you call the NVC kindly point out that it has been over 2 weeks since the NVC received your case, and you were under the impression it should be processed by now.

I hope all your cases get processed soon!  I know how frustrating the waiting is!

Thank you for giving me the courage, I got it! @TiogaTiago

Still no case number and I feel super helpless and losing hope. This is more frustrating than waiting for NOA2 since we knew we have to wait between 3-5 months. NVC was supposed to take around 2 weeks.

2 weeks is really optimistic...it is more like 3-4 weeks. If you read your NOA2 you will see they say to allow 30 days before calling NVC and that getting a number can take 2-4weeks. The timeframe is 6weeks. Try not to get too frustrated, at least you know it shouldn't be more than 6 weeks...way less than the wait for NOA2 and after it should go quick! I know your frustration, I felt the same way, but then I decided to stop let it consume me...You are almost there hang on!

Tomorrow it's exactly one month and I just had a fight with my fiancé because I asked him to call every night and he spent 4 hours playing video games and I woke up this morning at 5:50am which is 11:50pm his time and reminded him to call because he forgot. And he didn't even ask if we're going through the new process system too and didn't put some pressure on them. This feels like forever.

everything happens for a reason. OMG so close to finishing this process and now a few more months wait

Good luck to all that can move forward and be with your love

No matter what we can get through this together...just a little time and effort

Sending good thoughts! We hope the test results will come back negative. Yes, just a little more time. Please stay strong for Juvy. You are very blessed to have one another and you'll be together eventually.

You can't because they require the photos to be identical. You can, however, submit a different set of photos on your interview from the set you provided at medical, or on the petition. They require recent photos, anyway. Just don't submit different photos at once. I hope this made sense. It's 4am and my English is not yet 100%. :P

lol thanks... does the us embassy keep the package you go to the interview with?

If by package, you mean the copy of your entire petition, well... Based on reports from those who have already been interviewed, nope. There are times when they don't even look at the package. They do get the required documents such as your police clearance, medical results, etc.

But it's really up to the officer interviewing you. Some will want to check certain documents in your packet, so take it with you, still. Take as much ammo as you can! Hehe.

I admire you for being patient! My fiance and I really wish I could go there before July ends, but my mother will celebrate her birthday on July 27 and she wants me to still be here then. :P Of course, I'm gonna grant my momma's wish. :D

My fiance lives in Paramount but he is going to move to Inglewood in July. You're right, we might actually become neighbors. Girl, I think I should add you on Facebook so I have a friend when I get there. Haha!

Write the NVC an email. Be polite but explain your situation. Say you are worried because the visa is only valid for so long and ask for expedite processing!

It worked for me, when i wrote the email,  6 weeks already passed since my NOA2. But after the email i got a response within only a couple of hours! They approved my request for expedite procesing, assigned me a number and sent my case to the consulate the very same day!

It's worth a shot!
