I have a quick question about this part of the I-129F. We plan to file in March, after he proposes and all that fun stuff. I will be living at my home address until August of 2017, but I will be attending graduate school (at 1 of 3 schools) from September onward. What should I put for where he intends to live? My current home address, since I don't know where I'll be after that? Or should we put off filing until I'm settled in grad school?

Thank you!

Victoria & Nicholas

Can we assume that since you will be in grad school you will need a cosponsor like parents?

if so and you are living there now, i would use this as home address for filing the application

This brings up another related question that I have. My USC wife and I have been married since April, 2012 (together since 2011). We both live in Canada (specifically, Niagara Falls, Ontario). Our ambition is to move to Florida. On her I-130 petition for me, under "address in the United States where your relative intends to live," we wrote (or typed) "UNKNOWN" for the street address, "ORLANDO, FLORIDA, 32819." We haven't gotten to the point of the AOS, joint AOS or the visa application itself yet. Still waiting for the NOA2.

I understand the consulate in Montreal is very strict regarding domicile, so it was our plan that, once my application starts moving along, to have her move down to Orlando (her employer would transfer her to their Orlando location) and rent a place. Hopefully we wouldn't be separated for more than a month. Or two. I would U-haul her stuff down there, hopefully convice the customs officer I wasn't intending to immigrate myself, and fly back. Alone.

At what point MUST USCIS or NVC have a physical address where we intend to reside in the USA?

Yes, my step-dad is going to cosponsor me since I've been just below the poverty guideline for the last three years and my income will drop slightly in grad school. I'll use the current address and then update when I'm all moved and settled. Thank you everyone!
