Pictures would be for the I-130 section, yes, not the Adjustment of Status (I-485) section. Though it's all referred to as adjusting from a tourist visa. I think that is where he confusion may be coming from?

The guides on this site don't actually mention pictures specifically but it definitely can help. I would say a vast majority of people send them.

Make sure you show some primary evidence too though (leases, financial co-mingling, etc.)

Hi,

My spouse and I were just married this past weekend. I'm finishing up all the papers and of course, waiting for the marriage certificate.

He has only been in this country since September. I own my own home, house, etc, etc...So, these are things I cannot immediately add him to. So, there is not too much evidence we have to include. We do have a joint checking account, he is an authorized user on my credit cards, pictures.... a wedding invitation, wedding cards.... Copies of gifts (checks).

I guess my question is.... Do we need a lot of proof when the I-130 and I-485 are mailed or do we provide more at the time of the interview? Can they deny it due to lack of evidence? Obviously, we can accumulate more things over the next several months.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There can't be a definitive answer for what one can send/take to what can be asked. you have enough for now. add spouse to the car insurance and have some relatives and friends write affidavits (secondary evidence with low weightage) about this marital union and what they think about future prospects about this union and of course your guy's pictures.

Problem with car insurance is they don't yet have a US drivers license because they don't have a SS number yet.

I married my husband in June in his country I was also one of the lucky ones to file through the embassy which made the process a lot faster. Since we didn't plan to stay in his country and didn't own anything together I worried it would be a problem but our plan wasn't to stay there it was to start our life in America. I front loaded his petition with photos,screenshots of messages between us and also my family. My mother wrote a letter saying she had knowledge of our relationship/marriage and both me and my husband wrote a summary of our relationship. We didn't have a problem at all his application was approved and we been home now almost 2 weeks, he also comes from a high fraud country

They who ? The sponsoring spouse with a valid DL will have a car insurance and the beneficiary's name needs to go on it. which will say that the beneficiary is covered while travelling in sponsor's car.

Progressive added my husband with no SS# and no drivers license, He Is added as a Non Driver...... and shown that way on my Insurance Card.
