I think OP is concerned about PD because you read about that a lot. I remember I was like that too then I remembered that our visas were immediately available that is why our date is current duh lol.

My case accepeted on December 1st. I went to biometrics around the end of January, but I still didn't  get EAD card....

My AOS package was filed and sent to Chicago on 15th November 2016. 

I am little bit confused about current dates for AOS and EAD

Fingerprint Fee Was Received

On November 30, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxx. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case

Case Was Received

On November 15, 2016, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. 

 

How to know current PD for my  I-485 and I-765 ?  And what about medical exam? Should I wait RFE from USCIS before interview?

On January 19, 2017, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXX to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by February 18, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Hey Guys,

 

If they sent RFE for I-864, and they asked for the recent tax year documentation (which would be obviously 2016 now) and they also said we should also submit assest, OR obtain a joint sponsor.. We decided to choose a  joint sponsor to make sure it will be fine, but if we choose that you think we still need to send my husband's recent tax, or the sponsor's documents will be enough? Thanks.

You still need to send his documents BUT the recent one will be the 2015 tax doc since 2016 is not required until April 2017. May I ask what the rfe said and what documents you sent previously?

Most Lawyers I talked to say that USCIS does not take into account if you were working in US... if married to a citizen..

Don't do it... But it is not a deal breaker.

Yes it does take into account. The reason you're not penalize is because you get the option as a USC to file a waiver but if you didn't need to file a waiver and you start working after sending in the application and they found out it can cause unnecessary problem because you didn't file a waiver....

One thing that is that worry me most.

As november filers... we should ge all out EAD cards in February, right? In my case they received my papers on November 21.  And I did my biometrics on Jan 6...  So.. it is tax season.

 

I was about to get a TIN number so my wife did her taxes... But I learned it takes 7 weeks to get it. Then if I can get the EAD card on FEB I guess it is the same time to get the SSN.

 

HOW are you planning to do your taxes together as a couple?

It's true, it's forgiven just like overstay. A hiring company would be in more trouble.
